Indiana Gov. Eric Holcomb on Wednesday signed into law a ban on all “gender-affirming care” for minors. The law goes into effect in July, and children currently taking puberty blockers or hormones will have to stop. In other words, children in Indiana will be subjected to “forced puberty” and denied “lifesaving medicine.”

White House press secretary Karine Jean Pierre was asked about Indiana’s law and if the White House had any guidance on age limits for gender-affirming care.

KJP says that the Biden administration does not believe in setting age limits for children to have transgender surgeries and that it's something for kids to decide for themselves.pic.twitter.com/4jFqJTepGa

For last year’s Transgender Day of Visibility, the White House released a chart detailing gender-affirming care and at what ages it might be appropriate. Puberty blockers, obviously, would be given at puberty, while things like double mastectomies might be performed on adolescents on a “case-by-case basis.” In other words, the Biden administration is completely on-board with this:

Hormone therapy is partially reversible? Here’s a video of a girl showing how partially reversible hormone therapy is:
“Every time I open my ****ing mouth I sound like a freak. I’ve ruined my life with my stupid decisions I made as a kid.
“The doctors ruined my life by allowing a barely functioning, mentally ill child, with severe ocd & undiagnosed bpd, to go on hormones…”

But a child cannot consent to that, and parents have no business deciding their child's biological fate in this way, potentially castrating them or removing pieces of the body. Additionally, the years lost on hormone therapy can never be recovered.

I see we are on to the “it’s happening but it’s okay” part of this process officially

The Biden WH didn’t seem to have this attitude about the COVID vaccine

No child is capable of making such a decision, and no decent adult would allow it.

So tattoos and piercings needing parents consent before 18 is gonna be categorized with mammary glands and a phallus. Wonderful XD

So…we legislate consent about EVERYTHING else but not permanently altering bodies?
Yeah, we know where this is going…

I’m in a state right now where a child under 16 can’t make the decision to not wear a bike helmet.

The child? And I thought Dems don’t want parents involved in that decision?

Good point … that’s why schools are so adamant about keeping it secret from parents that they’re “transitioning” their children in school — sometimes parents don’t know best.
But parents shouldn’t be able to decide what teachers expose their children to in the classroom. Can someone please confirm so I can update my scorecard?
