It’s hard to believe that Touré ever had a show on MSNBC. Actually, it’s not so hard to believe, seeing as Joy Reid still has a prime-time slot. But Touré and a few other black hosts were given the boot in the great MSNBC purge in 2015.
The tweet to which he was responding has been deleted, so we’re not sure what set him off and insisting that someone tell him what there is about white American culture of which they’re proud.
What about your white American heritage are you proud of @NorthernBelle1_? It shouldn't be a hard question. Unless it is. https://t.co/RQ3vmFeBK6

“It’s OK to be white” has been classified by the ADL as a hate slogan, so people have to be careful with their answers. And “whiteness” is seen as evil and something that needs to be done away with. Liberal white woman Robin DiAngelo will speak to your group about how to be less white for tens of thousands of dollars. We get it, white is bad.
Let's take a step back. What is white American culture? And please be careful to not mention things that have been co-opted from Black culture, LGBTQ culture, Asian culture, Mexican culture, and European culture.

Interesting how LGBTQ people aren’t considered white.
This is a ridiculous question specifically designed to sow divisiveness. You should be ashamed of yourself.

When I grew up in the 50s and 60s eating at my white friend's house. It meant the only seasoning was salt.

Well, we have recently learned that white people using spices is racist. Oh, and drinking coffee is racist:

As a POC, I don't find this to be a productive or effective kind of dialogue. Beyond pure comedy or perhaps certain extremely circumscribed kinds of social-historical research, I don't go for this kind of mean-spirited cartooning of an entire class of people. Of anyone by anyone.

This came from the Smithsonian. Keep in mind that the Smithsonian has strong antiwhite bias and they aimed to degrade us as a people. pic.twitter.com/KT8GgmlOGM

Yeah, the Smithsonian’s National Museum of African American History & Culture had a short-lived display on “whiteness and white culture”: believing hard work is the key to success, being on time, delaying gratification, the nuclear family, and objective, rational thinking. But most of those were probably stolen from white European culture.
Take a bigger step back and then keep backing up into the distance

It’s wrong to be proud that you’re white and there’s nothing in white American culture to be proud of. So should white folx just self-flagellate for the rest of their lives or what?
