As you know, President Joe Biden has essentially written a blank check for Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky to fight our proxy war with Russia, promising to stick with Ukraine for as long as it takes. People are quick to accuse you of rooting for Vladimir Putin if you even suggest that we audit the tens of billions we’re sending overseas.
Sen. John Cornyn had a Zelensky quote for Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis, who’s taking heat for calling the war a “territorial dispute” on Tucker Carlson’s show. (Remember when Biden said a “minor incursion” would be OK?)
Zelensky has an answer for DeSantis:
"Ukrainian President VOLODYMYR ZELENSKYY “didn’t want to appeal to the hearts of Americans, in other words, but to their heads. … [T]his was his answer: Help us fight them here, help us defeat them here, and you won’t have to fight them…

Zelensky has put forward the possibility of Russia attacking a NATO member, in which case our military would have their boots on the ground. Best to stop Russia now before Americans start dying.
The Federalist’s Sean Davis chimed in:
If you buy that nonsense, you’re an idiot. Stop risking our security and wasting our money on stupid wars that have nothing to do with us. https://t.co/ERb2CREVwL

Channeling Neville Chamberlain, I see https://t.co/kzghl7qEoj
— Senator John Cornyn (@JohnCornyn) March 21, 2023
After @JohnCornyn attacked me for criticizing his Ukrainian war propaganda, we asked him to come on the @FDRLST podcast to debate me face to face.
His office refused and said he was too busy.
Typical cowardice. These people will happily send your money and kids to war, then run… https://t.co/RdiQWYan9l

Too busy doing what? Sending billions more to Ukraine?
I’m glad that the neocons have limited knowledge of a single war, but if you ever want to stop failing so much and at such a great cost to Americans, you should learn about some of history’s other wars. Particularly WWI. READ A BOOK OR TWO, SENATOR.

What a disgusting response John. Sean gives more of a damn about America at any given moment in time than you have the entire time you’ve been a Senator. I pray Texas replaces you with a true America First Senator in the next election. They deserve so much better than this.

Ukraine is not our country, not our friend, and not our ally. Putin is not Hitler. It's not WW2. You're not some great statesman, you're just some mediocrity and it's not our job to support your delusions of grandeur or Ukraine.

Why, if Russia can’t beat Ukraine — a small poor country — is it analogous to the Axis in World War II, which conquered much of the world?

Horrible look for you, Senator.

Nazi Germany steamrolled the entirety of Europe without breaking a sweat in a matter of months.
Russia can’t even take over Ukraine.
The Neville Chamberlain/Winston Churchill/Nazi Germany analogy is ridiculous.
— Ian Haworth (@ighaworth) March 21, 2023
How is wanting to focus our resources and strategy on China, instead of wasting it subsidizing a NATO alliance more than capable of countering Russia, the same as Neville Chamberlain?
— Wade Miller (@WadeMiller_USMC) March 21, 2023
Neoconservatives have no shame. As long as those campaign contributions keep coming.

Man I am so glad I will never vote for you again. Thank you.

This response to @seanmdav will not assuage the growing number of critics on the right who think our Congressional leadership views this conflict through a recklessly simplistic historical lens and is unable to discern where America's true national interests lie.

Cornyn isn’t conservative or on the right. He is a owned neocon war monger who does not follow the directions of his voters.

We used to admire the guy.
They are hardly comparable. Come up with an actual argument rather than taking cheap shots.

No sir that would be what you are doing by supporting this false flag of a war to usher in global communism.
— Reaganette (@Ezinger44) March 21, 2023
I have no problem with you going over there to fight. When do you leave?
— Will Harter (@willisfx88) March 21, 2023
A handful of Hollywood celebrities have made the trip to meet with Zelensky and even the would-be Ukrainian defense minister Alexander Vindman visited the “war zone” to offer his assistance.
