Hey everyone, it’s “Hands up, don’t shoot!” all over again!
There hasn’t been much coverage in the mainstream media, but there have been riots in Atlanta over the fatal police shooting of Manuel Esteban Paez Terán, or Tortuguita, an environmental activist who was protesting the construction of Atlanta’s “Cop City” — a police training facility. Police say they shot and killed Terán after he fired at officers. It turns out five of six Antifa rioters arrested are from out of state, and it turns out one rioter arrested for firebombing the construction site is a lawyer for the SPLC, whose “hate map” is frequently cited by the media.
Now, Terán’s family and their attorneys are saying an autopsy showed that Terán had his hands in the air when he was shot. NPR reports:
A second autopsy of an environmental activist who was shot and killed by the Georgia State Patrol on Jan. 18 shows their hands were raised when they were killed, lawyers for their family say. The full autopsy report will be released at a press conference Monday.
The 26-year-old protester, Manuel Esteban Paez Terán, was killed in an Atlanta-area forest while police cleared an encampment of activists who oppose the construction of Atlanta’s “Cop City” — or Public Training Safety Facility. Terán went by Tortuguita.
“Both Manuel’s left and right hands show exit wounds in both palms. The autopsy further reveals that Manuel was most probably in a seated position, cross-legged when killed,” lawyers said in a press release.
Exit wounds in both palms?

Not only were his hands raised but his fingers were making a peace sign…it just so happened that one of those fingers was on the trigger of a gun he had.

If @NPR had any credibility left, and that was questionable at best, it’s gone now. Limited or weak vetting in the hiring of Antifa supporter. Compounding this by having them pen a puff piece defending this evil. Wow… just wow.

Lets see this autopsy… because the three previous ones clearly showed that wasnt true

After ordering repeated private autopsies to get the results they want, the family of the Atlanta far-left occupation gunman (Manuel Esteban Paez Terán) now claim he had his hands raised when he was shot dead. The gunman seriously wounded a Georgia state trooper & forensic… https://t.co/KC2VmdiqZ9 pic.twitter.com/44c7ECoceN

The rest of that tweet reads, “The gunman seriously wounded a Georgia state trooper & forensic ballistics testing matched the bullet to his pistol. The family’s 2nd private autopsy has not been released but this is the misleading @NPR story by #Antifa supporter @kaityradde.”
Michael Brown's hands were raised too, but he was also bent down and charging the officer. Is this the same situation?

What an embarrassing article 😬

And evidence still shows an officer was shot with a gun in the possession of and purchased by the activist. Justified shooting.

Four autopsies later, you finally paid somebody enough money to put out a false narrative.

They really didn't need multiple autopsies,
they just needed to find a pathologist who was woke enough to lie about the results.

When there is a big payday in the offing in the USA you can buy any expert finding you want as has been repeatedly proven over the last few years. They only had to get a few autopsies done until they found someone willing to side with them for money.

Shitty reporting. You totally omit the months of violent actions from the protestors. This directly refutes the claim that Turtle Boy was "committed to non-violence".
He took a gun to join a violent group that had been illegally encamped and launching terrorist attacks for months— DollarBillCosby (@DollarBillCosby) March 11, 2023
How did the medical examiner determine the hands were raised when shot? Sounds made up.

NPR letting the terrorist sympathizers deliver hard news now – nice
— Matt (@____MRJ____) March 12, 2023
This isn't journalism. This is pro-terrorist propaganda.

Why is @NPR letting a fascist Antifa criminal supporter write for them is the question?
— ElonIsTheBest (@TtrNoLongerPAC) March 12, 2023
Imagine if Terán were black … Al Sharpton would be all over this story.
