We put “reporter” in quotation marks in the headline because we’re talking about Kat Tenbarge, who claims to be a “tech and culture reporter” for NBC News but appears to be nothing more than a progressive activist. “Kids have always been welcome to watch movies with their parents that have sexual innuendo, dine at Hooters, watch cheerleaders, and pass by magazine racks that include Playboy,” she tweeted, pointing out the hypocrisy of those opposed to “all-ages” drag shows. She also wants parents and their “backward ideas” out of public school sex education: Can parents define “pelvic floor”? More importantly, would they?
As Twitchy reported last month, a whistleblower from St. Louis Children’s Hospital Gender Clinic leaked about the clinic from which she’d resigned after she couldn’t take it anymore: “When I said the clusters of girls streaming into our service looked as if their gender issues might be a manifestation of social contagion, the doctors said gender identity reflected something innate.” But no, the clinic thought it was important to start the puberty blockers and hormone therapy as soon as possible.
1/ I know a lot of people, as good progressives, are very eager to throw a whistleblower in jail. I regret to inform you that basic descriptions of e.g. patient symptoms are regularly shared in media outlets without being treated as HIPAA violationshttps://t.co/yTliMvUa4J

But those aren’t her patients. She’s a receptionist. She has no business making medical claims. I don’t even think she qualifies as a “whistleblower.” She’s a rogue receptionist with an agenda. No expertise in the area she’s commenting on
— Kat Tenbarge (@kattenbarge) March 11, 2023
She’s a rogue receptionist? No, she was a case manager responsible for patient intake and oversight.
NBC News reporter: Jamied Reed is "a receptionist"
Mainstream journalists are, on a wide variety of subjects, just completely incapable of getting anywhere close to the truth on anything. It's endemic. Constantly wrong, always confident, never accountable https://t.co/DyRC15DDbG

She’s sharing data from spreadsheets she didn’t even collect. She’s not a doctor or someone with any kind of medical training and she didn’t see the patients she’s talking about. She stole their data. She could be misinterpreting everything. How would you even know
— Kat Tenbarge (@kattenbarge) March 11, 2023
What is the point of tweet after tweet about this when you're so unfamiliar with this story you don't know what her job description or duties were? Seriously? Why not just skip this Twitter outrage?
— Jesse Singal (@jessesingal) March 11, 2023
She was a case manager.
— Benjamin Ryan (@benryanwriter) March 11, 2023
Look at you, with your unprofessional come-hither look, getting all 60 shades of self important when belittling a case manager by demoting her to receptionist, thereby belittling both positions.
You work in the failing mainstream newzertainment business. Not that impressive.

"No expertise in the area she’s commenting on."
Ironic.

Did you tweet this merely to share misinformation?

By the way, even deanonymized data — this data sounds pseudonymized — can be traced back to the original source. Data brokers do it all the time. Can you guarantee protection of the trans kids whose data was stolen? What if they’re identified?

The confidence with which you type out factually incorrect statements is both inspiring and worrying considering you’re a journalist

Rogue receptionist. If your purpose here is to discredit yourself, you are doing an excellent job.
— Tarantella Trance (@davidcomdico) March 11, 2023
Have you got a source for your claim she was a “receptionist”?
— Shatterface (@Shatterface) March 11, 2023
You can still delete this misinformation.
— Karl Gowenlock (@KarlGowenlock) March 11, 2023
Nope … her agenda is to have “gender-affirming care” given to minors without hesitation and to have as many all-ages drag shows as possible. We wonder … does she have kids or does she just like telling parents what to do with their kids?
P.S.
We’re going to be super-petty here and note that Tenbarge’s Twitter avatar sure doesn’t look like any other photo of her:
