Ian Millhiser is a senior correspondent at Vox, focusing on the Supreme Court and the Constitution. Yes, the Constitution. In 2018 he tweeted that “the Constitution of the US has failed.” A year later, he declared that “it’s wild that people think that the Constitution of the United States is good.” “The Constitution is dumb, y’all,” he tweeted in 2020. “The United States Constitution is very bad,” he declared in 2022. The Senate is evil and he’s not so keen on the Supreme Court as it stands now.
On Tuesday, the Supreme Court heard oral arguments in Gonzales vs. Google, concerning Section 230 of the Communications Decency Act of 1996. Millhiser says SCOUTS “appears worried it could break the internet.” He does admire Justice Elena Kagan’s “f**k it” philosophy, though.
I really admire Elena Kagan's "maybe this Court shouldn't decide every fucking question on the planet" approach to being a Supreme Court justice. Wish we had more of her.https://t.co/KMJnRd5zDL

So you’re saying the court shouldn’t make law? Cool concept!

I sense you are a big supporter of the Dobbs decision given your reason for admiration. No?
— IG (@IvanGregory123) February 21, 2023
Which was what the Court said in Dobbs. Glad you finally agree.

Dobbs left decisions regarding abortion to the States, rather than SCOTUS, amirite?
— Soxaholic (@MikeBrennan330) February 21, 2023
Why Ian, I didn't know you were such a big fan of the majority decision in Dobbs. https://t.co/aajvqnI6wj

Literally what the Dobbs decision was. https://t.co/7GjHU5n2rJ

Ian’s endorsement of the rationale behind Dobbs is refreshing. https://t.co/6zjQkefdMs

When asked his opinion on Obergefell and Dobbs, Millhiser gives a drastically different answer https://t.co/rbl0JBq0uA
— MrMikeD (@Mrmiked42) February 21, 2023
GP I really admire your agreement that Obergefell's imposition of gay marriage on all states was wrongly decided as the matter should've been left to state legislatures. https://t.co/YxhXzMBIHs

lol I don't think he actually thinks about what he says. https://t.co/60nY2C7Kdp

This is literally what the conservative justices say in like 80% of the rulings Ian thinks are more dangerous than Hitler. https://t.co/hos4udsodc

We originalists welcome you with open arms. https://t.co/zbgOJnMGBq

You do have more of her, but you seem to despise them for kicking decisions back to the states where they belong.
