As Twitchy has reported, that Chinese surveillance balloon that’s been on the White House’s radar since January 28 has finally been shot down over the Atlantic, having completed its cross-country spying trip over ICBM launch sites and the like. Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin has released a statement thanking Canada for its help and confirming that President Joe Biden will always put the safety and security of the American people first.
Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin: “This afternoon, at the direction of President Biden, U.S. fighter aircraft assigned to U.S. Northern Command successfully brought down the high altitude surveillance balloon launched by and belonging to the People’s Republic of China (PRC) MORE

“Today’s deliberate and lawful action demonstrates that President Biden and his national security team will always put the safety and security of the American people first while responding effectively to the PRC’s unacceptable violation of our sovereignty.” Austin statement

How many times did you have to stop and laugh out loud while transcribing this statement?

They’re totally just trolling us now. I’m convinced of it.

"Always"? Looks like a wise move, but no evidence of his always putting our security first.

This entire administration is a clown show. After 8 days of it floating over the US collecting whatever it wanted.

You mean, AFTER China got all the information it needed while having a leisurely float over our most secure military installations?!🤣

"…after we tried covering it up and had to acknowledge its existence thanks to a local news outlet that reported on it and will be severely dealt with AND we let it finish its job before taking said action."

So why didn't they shoot it down over the Pacific?
— BigPapaTrav (@sftowntex) February 4, 2023
Why didn’t they shoot it down in US territorial waters over the Aleutian Islands. Can you maybe ask that, or are you too busy carrying DNC water?

It got all the info it wanted. The balloon meant nothing to China at this point. Idiots.

So nobody’s buying the part about “responding effectively to the PRC”?
