In case you hadn’t noticed, the powers that be are ramping up the idea that we should all be masking again in preparation for an “expected rise” in COVID-19 cases this winter (of severe illness and death). People seem to have given up on masks for the most part, but as far as “the maximum level of vaccine protection” — we honestly don’t even know what that is. At the very end of November, HHS Secretary Xavier Becerra reminded Americans to get an updated COVID vaccine if it’s been two months since their last.
The majority of U.S. adults — including most of America's seniors — are heading into the holiday season and an expected rise in cases without the maximum level of vaccine protection against the virus. https://t.co/OizawR3AGG

Axios reports:
Only 36% of American seniors — and just 16% of the population 18 and older — have received the updated booster shot that became available in September.
…
All of the data that’s come out over the last two years says that the vaccines are effective. The problem is twofold: the effectiveness changed as the virus evolved, and it also fades if you haven’t had your last shot in a while.
Get that paragraph … the vaccines are effective, but their effectiveness changed as the virus evolved. That doesn’t sound very effective for a vaccine.

I vaxxed and double boosted, and I’m done.
The data does not support continued illness prevention: other than exercise.
And if you’re a young man, for godsakes don’t get the vax, the side effects of myocarditis are serious

“Expected”
Nice fear-mongering word there, with zero accountability for its future accuracy.

"Expected"? Sure, Jan.

There were zero clinical trials on humans for the latest iteration of the vaccine.
I got double vaxxed and then skipped the booster because Omicron itself would be a better vaccine.

Do you live under a rock? The vaccinated are three times more likely to get the virus. Why are you still promoting this shit?

Man, the content moderators of Twitter 1.0 would be pulling their hair out over this thread.
Continuing to promote the propaganda while you still can? 🙄

Anyone who believes “the experts” or “the science” after the last few years is 🤡

Most Americans no longer care. It’s called living life. Stop talking about this stuff.

We noticed New York City Mayor Eric Adams gave a televised press conference earlier this week while wearing a mask … and that same night we saw a bunch of photos of him unmasked at a Christmas party. He doesn’t think he’s going to get and he doesn’t care if he does, but he’ll still wear a mask on TV.
