The Associated Press reported Tuesday afternoon that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy was set to visit Washington, D.C. on Wednesday in his first known trip outside Ukraine since Russia’s invasion in February. Enough Americans, ranging from Alexander Vindman to Sean Penn, have flown to Ukraine to visit him, so perhaps it was his turn to make the trip. He arrives as the Senate argues over a $1.7 trillion omnibus spending bill that includes $45 billion more in aid for Ukraine.
