Serious question here: Didn’t the House already have some sort of award ceremony for the Capitol Police? We can’t find it in our archives, but we’re certain it happened. In any case, “Capitol Police” was trending on Twitter Tuesday as Speaker Nancy Pelosi hosted a Congressional Gold Medal ceremony for officers who served on January 6. C-SPAN’s Howard Mortman noted that as police officers filed past, they shook hands with Sen. Chuck Schumer but blew off Sen. Mitch McConnell and Rep. Kevin McCarthy.

Are these the ones who opened the doors and let everyone in https://t.co/wt68MXE4Tl

Exactly, the same ones.

Does the Capital Police who shot and killed Ashley Babbitt in the neck get a medal for marksmanship

No, the ones who died or were injured when YOUR mob attacked democracy and the Constitution…

Which ones died after being attacked by Dana Loesch’s mob? Then-press secretary Jen Psaki confirmed that President Joe Biden “obviously” believes a number of officers lost their lives on January 6.
Who says our capital police aren't biased. Video proves they are ….

Total loss of respect and I do not care why they would not shake hands. They may even be on 'my' side of political opinions. But I call them small minded and not fit for the job they have been tasked with.

A good point:
It’s amazing how the only Capitol Police officer *actually* murdered by a political extremist in 2021 was killed by an insane black supremacist but that has been obscured by the politicized focus on January 6th. The fallen officer’s name was William Evans. https://t.co/nQeh73DnWm
