The Kennedy Center Honors were presented this weekend, but the big star of the show was Paul Pelosi, who made his first public appearance since being attacked with a hammer. And then there were the honorees, who included U2, George Clooney, Gladys Knight, Amy Grant, and Tania León. President Joe Biden, who always has an anecdote to share, remembered the time he saw Knight perform in 1919.

Are we picking on Biden over a simple gaffe? You bet we are. It’s a shame we have so very many opportunities to do it.
