Obviously, Speaker Nancy Pelosi was inspired by Kanye West to tweet this, but her finger-wagging will never get old. It was 2019 when anti-Semitic tweets and statements from Rep. Ilhan Omar became too much for even Pelosi to ignore, and she had drafted a resolution censuring Omar. And we all know how well that turned out: The House got a hold of the resolution and made it a generic denunciation of all “hate speech,” including Islamophobia, to the point where Republicans joked that Omar might even vote for it herself. And she did, which wasn’t so hard, considering she wasn’t even named in it. Omar even had a good laugh after voting for what was supposed to be a resolution censuring her for her anti-Semitism.
So forgive us when we’re not moved by Pelosi’s tweet that every leader must condemn anti-Semitic rhetoric.
It’s staggering that it needs repeating: Hitler and his Nazi regime are the embodiment of evil.
Being a celebrity isn't a license to spew hatred.
Every leader must condemn despicable antisemitic rhetoric & always speak out against antisemitism, no matter whatever form it takes.

Now do The Squad.

I completely agree! So why haven’t you condemned the many antisemitic comments “the squad” has made over the years?
— Earnest B. Worried (@SanFranSooner) December 3, 2022
So… Are you going to speak out against Ilhan Omar finally? 🤔
— Matt Kadish – SaltyNerd.com (@MatthewKadish) December 3, 2022
Might want to have a talk with a few of your party members then.

Not only not condemning them but leaving an obviously bigoted person on foreign affairs and calling her a valued member of the party is 😵💫😵💫😵💫😵💫

Might want to talk to the Squad. It seems they didn’t get the memo.

True, but… What about Ilhan Omar and the other anti-Jew squad members in Congress? Why are you quiet on that?

That whole episode with Omar is proof that Democrats will never speak out against their own. Instead, they’ll just give Al Sharpton a big hug.
What happened to the hammer guy?
