Elon Musk and Matt Taibbi’s dump of files showing Twitter’s censorship of the Hunter Biden laptop story is huge, and the scandal is enormous: Twitter censored the New York Post’s story and refused to allow people to link to it or retweet it, weeks before the 2020 election. It was flat-out election interference, and many in the mainstream media are scolding Musk and Taibbi for bringing the documents to light. Why? Because it makes their team look bad.
One of the documents Taibbi posted was a list of tweets to review from “the Biden team.” Hours later, the problematic tweets were “handled.” FEC Commissioner Sean Cooksey tells us that Twitter told the FEC that it never received a request from the Biden campaign to review the New York Post article and none of its decision-makers even communicated with the Biden campaign.
Here's what Twitter told the @FEC in its response to a complaint about this event: "Twitter did not receive a request from the Biden campaign to review (much less restrict) the N.Y. Post articles. …" https://t.co/8Q08wkdcaQ
— Sean Cooksey (@SeanJCooksey) December 3, 2022
"Nor did decision-makers at Twitter, or to the best of the company’s knowledge, anyone authorized to act on Twitter’s behalf even communicate with the Biden campaign regarding Twitter’s decision to enforce its content moderation policies with respect to the N.Y. Post articles."

You can read their entire response, including two affidavits from Twitter employees involved, here: https://t.co/aZdw7reWLH

When the @FEC dismissed the complaint, I did not sign onto the Commission's theory that Twitter acted only for commercial reasons. I wasn't convinced, but I still didn't think it was a campaign-finance violation, as I explained at the time: https://t.co/ZL2Ay3gfv7

There's no evidence in that thread showing communication about the Post articles, though?

Let’s see the tweets … oh wait, they were deleted.
Is that blatantly illegal: perjury under oath, or something?

Not in this instance, it’s (D)ifferent

This makes Watergate look like child's play.

So they lied, under oath, too? Wow. I didn't have much hope that the collective intelligence of Twitter employees could fill a thimble and this now solidifies that thinking. Perjury is a real crime.

Prison.

That sounds like a lie. Is that lie? Are people allowed to lie to the FEC and get away with it?
— Conservative X (@Conservative_X1) December 3, 2022
It depends on the meanings of "team" and "campaign".
Every statement must be analyzed as if Bill Clinton said it.

this is as powerful as the MSM

Give me a whole break. Biden's handlers didn't give Gadde an advisory position with Homeland Sec immediately following the election by sheer coincidence & happenstance.

If you can lie without consequence (or believing this) or tell the truth and be vilified or fired, most choose to lie. What is the consequence for this guy lying to FEC?
— Mike (@Mike32107586) December 3, 2022
They didn't need Biden's team to specifically ask them because the FBI was already working on their behalf to squash the information.

Good point.
A lot of people think they have Cooksey on a technicality because those tweets were links to the New York Post story, technically. But still, if you read the affidavit, the Biden Commission said it had no interactions with Twitter.
