It was close, but Sen. Ron Johnson held on to his seat in Wisconsin, beating Democrat Mandela Barnes by about one percentage point. As you know, it’s OK to question election results again, and Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez thinks there was a racial element to Johnson’s victory. We’re not sure what she means, but we guess that’s why we need to discuss it. After all, Republicans targeted a black man … is this going to blow up into another one of those things where Sarah Palin was responsible for Gabby Giffords’ shooting because she put out a map with little target symbols on it? Was it that kind of targeting, AOC?
AOC says that Republicans "targeted" Mandela Barnes in Wisconsin because he's a black man:
"I think there are racial dynamics in that race that need to be discussed, in terms of how Republicans targeted a black man running in that race." pic.twitter.com/5lo5RwHpCx

CNN, seriously. You claim you’re returning to capital-J Journalism … enough of The Squad.
Or maybe it’s because he was the opponent

If opposing Mandela Barnes is "targeting" him, then Democrats are lynching Clarence Thomas.

When all else fails, pull out the old race card. SMH. Doesn't work anymore.

It's really remarkable she was reelected.

Or elected in the first place.
New rules: If a black person runs, you shall not run against him or racisim.

Once you realize the reason Democrats are committed to identity politics has nothing to do with opportunities for minorities or any sort of balance & everything to do with saying you only disagree with them cuz you're racist or sexist or homophobic or whatever, it all makes sense

It couldn’t have been because Ron Johnson was a vulnerable incumbent, in an intensely competitive battle for Senate control … naaa.
The good news is, calculated tactics like that are slowly losing their effectiveness.

Well said.
She gets a lot of hot air time in the media. I have never seen my House Rep on TV.

They never have her on to talk about her legislative accomplishments.
