As the nation was debating Florida’s so-called “Don’t Say Gay” law, the label “groomer” got thrown around a lot, and for a reason: it struck a nerve. There were plenty of “country over party” people, like David French and Matthew Dowd, who argued that “redefining” the word groomer was an act of “pure malice” and that if Jesus Christ were alive today, conservatives would call Him a groomer. Their problem was that groomer was an anti-LGBTQ slur and suggested that teachers were trying to groom children for gay sex.
So here we have a “domestic terrorist” mother reading to the school board from a book recommended for middle schoolers, which explains terms like “top” and “bottom” and gives literal instructions on how to use sex apps like Grindr.

It literally tells kids how to sign up for sex apps:
- Upload a tiny pic of yourself to the app.
- The app works out your location.
- The app tells you who the nearest homosexuals are.
- You then chat to them.
- Because they are near, it is easy to meet up with them.
The book does say that “if you are a younger reader … then simply skip the whole chapter.”
This is, absolutely, grooming.

'Straight sex was presented as the norm to make 5% of the population feel abnormal'
No, straight sex is the norm cuz it's practiced by 95% of the population 🤦♂️

In the early 2000s, when Republicans were warning about this, Democrats laughed and said it would never happen. Now it has, and Democrats are defending it. We should have crushed this movement back then before they took over education

If your neighbor gave your kid this book, you’d be within your rights to have him arrested.

Middle school. But don't you DARE accuse them of grooming.

Any adult who isn't willing to call out these books is on board with sexualizing young people while viewing sex as no more than a hedonistic pleasure & not an expression of intimacy & love that leads to healthy relationships.

We haven’t tried it ourselves, but we’re pretty sure using the word “groomer” in a Tweet will still result in a warning if not a suspension.
