This editor frequents a fairly geeky site that writes about video games, movies, and comic books (he collected comics until they boosted the price to $0.25). There’s a healthy comment section there, but the moderators have banned the word “woke.” You can’t say that Marvel’s “She-Hulk” is woke, although you can sneak by the censors with “w0ke” or “w()ke.”
The idea that Marvel’s gone woke is only going to grow now that they’ve teamed up with Pfizer to promote the latesthttps://twitter.com/CanadianRay16/status/1577483156328173568 batch of COVID-19 boosters.
When Ultron wreaks havoc, the Avengers act as the first line of defense. People can help protect themselves by staying up to date with COVID-19 vaccinations. Head to https://t.co/PfNUYTZlkj to get a first look at Pfizer, BioNTech, and Marvel’s comic book! pic.twitter.com/hwhRateYIB

I didn't know drug companies were allowed to use cartoons to market to minors. This is very unseemly.

OK, we actually took a minute to scan the comic and everyone’s wearing a surgical mask (except for the Avengers). The conclusion? “The Avengers are doing their part to help keep us safe. Now it’s time for us to do ours,” say the human characters as they get in line for their booster. For real.
