PolitiFact has a new game going. It used to be that the “fact-checkers” would put in some effort to spin things in the Democrats’ favor. They’re tending not to do that anymore — instead, they’re relying on tweets from random people and putting those under the microscope. For example, PolitiFact said that Venezuelan migrants, having spent less than two days on Martha’s Vineyard, voluntarily got on buses to Joint Base Cape Cod, which is a designated emergency shelter, and the military wasn’t involved in the move. Thus, PolitiFact rated “false” an Instagram post claiming the military “deported” the migrants. In short, search nobodies on Instagram and Twitter until you find the one you can pick apart to fit the foregone conclusion. OK, so they weren’t “deported” — but how was the military not involved if they opened their gates to the buses?
Now PolitiFact is coming to the rescue of Vice President Kamala Harris, who told actress Priyanka Chopra Jonas at the Democratic National Committee Women’s Leadership Forum that equity would play a part in Hurricane Ian recovery efforts, as poor communities and communities of color are hardest hit.

No, she didn’t say that, says PolitiFact.
.@PolitiFact: "We rate this claim False."
"Harris said no such thing in a response to a question that touched on several topics, including Hurricane Ian, climate change policy and disparities in who is most harmed by climate change and extreme weather."https://t.co/RYXNQ6p2oK

If the @VP didn't say something wrong, why was the FEMA Administrator walking it back yesterday?

The hilarious part is how you still think PolitiFact still gives you cover. NOBODY believes them.
Also, we have the tape.

What does “equity “ mean in this situation, mate?

She literally said it.

You liar. We see through you and the clown show you run.

I called it. They deny it despite the VIDEO.

"You didn't hear her say that that with your own ears. You must believe our spin instead."
— Will Collier (@willcollier) October 3, 2022
We heard her, Andrew.
— Lisa (@LisaTurnage12) October 3, 2022
She said it would be based on equity and was very adamant on that point. What does that mean?
— ParksDept (@parks_dept) October 3, 2022
She said what she said. You all know it was a huge mistake considering the circumstances. You are desperate to walk it back because you know what she said isn’t flying.
— Gordon’s alive?! (@gordon_alive) October 3, 2022
Why the need to walk it back — every week with this administration? Why do we always need “fact-checkers” to clarify what the nation’s leaders said on video?
