Turning Point USA’s Benny Johnson has updated his Twitter handle to include “Meme-Attack Survivor.” As he explains, he was giving a speech about memes at the University of Iowa when a Kamala Harris meme triggered a student (we’re assuming it was a student) so much that he stomped to the front of the room and kicked over the projector before storming out. No, for real:
🚨BREAKING: I was Giving a speech about MEMES at the University of Iowa tonight with @TPUSA.
A Kamala Harris Meme TRIGGERED the violent LIBS so bad they ATTACKED the *projector* and SMASHED IT to pieces.
I told you: The Left Can’t Meme pic.twitter.com/nTwm6ijnV3

This violent, meme-hating lib was ARRESTED for attacking the meme presentation I was going.
To my knowledge this was the first meme-attack-arrest in American history.
Thank you Iowa City Police for protecting the memes! pic.twitter.com/SmAXSoanW1

OFFICIAL STATEMENT FROM BENNY:
"We often say The LEFT CAN’T MEME.
Tonight, we proved it.
I was giving a peaceful speech to the University of Iowa Turning Point USA chapter about memes this evening."— Benny Johnson | Meme-Attack Survivor ✊🏽✊🏿✊🏾✊🏻 (@bennyjohnson) September 21, 2022
During our presentation we played a harmless meme of Kamala Harris welcoming a bus full of migrants, set to tasteful mariachi music. That is when a low-T leftist strung-out on pure soy snapped into a violent rage. I watched dispassionately as the libs last drop of testosterone…

…evaporated in an unprovoked kick-attack on an innocent projector.
That projector’s crime? Playing memes. Thankfully, no one was hurt by the domestic terrorist attack other than an innocent Panasonic Projector. RIP….— Benny Johnson | Meme-Attack Survivor ✊🏽✊🏿✊🏾✊🏻 (@bennyjohnson) September 21, 2022
The perpetrator was arrested soon after and booked for a hate-crime against memes. Our hearts go out to the brave Iowa City Police department. Fund The Police.

Let this moment serve as a poignant metaphor for what happens to meme-makers across social media when their accounts get attacked by salty, unhinged, free-speech hating Democrats.

As someone who lived through January 6th, I can tell you this attack was much scarier and represents a larger existential threat to our Democracy. The 1st Amendment is under attack constantly from the Left. It survived – this time.
In conclusion: The Left Can’t Meme.

Until acts like this result in arrests, fines, suspension from school etc these act will continue to happen.
— FlyNavyDawg (@HereForFootbal5) September 21, 2022
Correct, until there are consequences for bad behavior…it will continue. The root cause analysis isn’t hard…

Apparently, there were consequences in this case, so kudos to the police.
That’s not a very tolerant response.
