Something this editor has been asking President Joe Biden and the White House to do for a couple of weeks now is name names: If MAGA Republicans are inciting violence and are a danger to democracy, tell us who they are. White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre said that “extreme MAGA Republicans” are elected officials, but then she also said that wanting restrictions on abortion is an extreme MAGA position. Does that make all pro-lifers MAGA? In the opening of his red speech, Biden said that MAGA “forces” wanted to take the nation backward, outlawing abortion, contraception, and same-sex marriage.
Townhall’s Katie Pavlich notes that the White House is now on day five of attempting to define what Biden means when he talks about “MAGA Republicans.”
The White House is on day five of attempting to walk back or define what Biden means when he attacks “MAGA Republicans.”

This.
Biden was hoping his death star campaign speech would help shift the midterm conversation to Trump.
Instead it's shifted it to a week of having to explain who he is/isn't attacking. And it may just result in turning more moderates/independents against him. https://t.co/RU61Zkp3ke

We know what he means.

They're too late on that one. The damage is done.

They forgot they need a certain number of those votes to win outside of a major city.

Walking it back while doubling down 🤣

Meanwhile, the intended damage is done. Biden threw that divisive and destructive narrative to his supporters and now they all scream “FACIST” and “TRAITOR” at republicans and openly call for mass arrests

Kathy Griffin just suggested that if Democrats don’t win, there’s going to be a civil war. Bring it, libs.
New day, new definition.

Can't imagine why they bother. The media is perfectly OK with letting it never have happened.

I’m beginning to be glad Biden’s blood red speech of rage happened. We get to really see what he is. Sorry Joe, you can’t take it back—too late bro. See ya at the midterms.

We all know what he meant…

He’s trying to both appease his base and not alienate the general public and independent voters who hated his speech.

His latest tweet says it all – MAGA is anyone who disagrees with him. Period.

In his speech, he did differentiate MAGA Republicans from mainstream Republicans who he can “work with”; e.g., RINOs.
