Karine Jean-Pierre reminds us that President Biden issued a statement on the Kabul airport attack last Friday

As Twitchy reported, last Wednesday the Washington Post published a piece on the troops who survived the “Kabul airport disaster” a year ago. (It was a terrorist attack … Presiden Biden’s withdrawal from Afghanistan was a disaster.) It was August 26, 2021, when Pentagon spokesman John Kirby confirmed there’d been a “complex” suicide attack at the airport. That would make Monday the one-year anniversary of the death of 13 U.S. service members in that suicide attack. So naturally, reporters asked press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre what Biden would be doing to mark the one-year anniversary of the attack. Jean-Pierre noted that Biden had issued a statement Friday when no one was paying attention.

Indeed he did, and he turned that statement into a tweet Monday:

It’s nice they got a tweet.

The Afghanistan withdrawal was such a disaster that not even the mainstream media could spin it.

It’s no secret that Biden would want to keep the whole Afghanistan withdrawal out of the news cycle, seeing as that’s when his approval rating began to tank, and right now he’s enjoying a string of wins like the Inflation Reduction Act and student loan cancellation.
