Wash. Rinse. Repeat.
Here’s the cycle: An “anti-LGBTQ” account like Libs of TikTok posts videos from Boston Children’s Hospital talking about “gender-affirming hysterectomies.” The hospital denies performing these operations on minors and starts taking videos down. Finally, the mainstream media takes notice when the hospital receives “a torrent of threats” from right-wingers.
It happened with Boston Children’s Hospital and now it’s happening again with Children’s National Hospital in Washington, D.C. So what happened this time? Libs of TikTok contacted Children’s National about a gender-affirming hysterectomy for her 16-year-old. The nurse on the phone says that’s great, and when pressed, says that they see even younger patients.
🚨BREAKING EXCLUSIVE REPORT🚨
.@ChildrensNatl admits in damning audio recording that they do “gender affirming” hysterectomies on minors including 16-year-olds and “younger kids”

This is one of the scariest recordings I’ve ever heard
Young, underaged girls are having their uteruses cut out for “gender-affirming care”
Demonic is the only word for what’s happening here.pic.twitter.com/sTgqgTug2M

Read my full report here including how the hospital changed their website after BCH was exposed. Luckily I archived it all! https://t.co/dMv8gf8fJu

I wonder how many kids got “gender affirming” hysterectomies at @ChildrensNatl. How young do you guys go? 11? 13?
— Libs of TikTok (@libsoftiktok) August 25, 2022
The hospital said it was aware of the audio recording going around on social media and tried to redirect the narrative:
— Children's National Hospital 🏥 (@ChildrensNatl) August 25, 2022
At this point the Washington Post steps in, citing the flood and torrents of threats the hospital received because of the recording.
Children's National Hospital – much like Boston Children's Hospital a couple weeks ago – is now being flooded with threats and harassment after a right-wing activist started an uproar over the hospital's programs for trans kids. Here's what happened: https://t.co/af8L0UPrnr

So if I am to understand, a Twitter user and citizen legally recorded a phone call with hospital staffers, made public their words, and the recording, and the professionally paid journalist for the Washington Post is taking issue with the person who recorded it? https://t.co/678Q4Fz7LZ
— Stephen L. Miller (@redsteeze) August 27, 2022
@PeteJamison if a twitter account is recording phone calls and making them public to hear, then have you considered asking yourself what do we need you for?
— Stephen L. Miller (@redsteeze) August 27, 2022
“What exactly is it you do here?”
This is incredibly bad journalism. It's pure malfeasance
"The recording of our staffers own words is false"
"Good enough for me!" pic.twitter.com/rpNr3q2KNt
— Stephen L. Miller (@redsteeze) August 27, 2022
We are at the point where the news media just outright lie to push narratives. They don’t just twist or obfuscate. They just outright lie.
Everything is on tape, and the Post still claims it’s false. https://t.co/qa0YBvO7qq

You mean that the Children's National Hospital operator told the truth w/regards to "gender affirming hysterectomies" for minors.@libsoftiktok didn't start any "uproar." https://t.co/rCuAvtR6jj
— Sarcastic Cupcake (@SarcasticCupcak) August 27, 2022
This idea that children's hospitals across the country somehow should not be believed when they're making videos explaining medical & surgical procedures is so weird to me. If you say "gender affirming hysterectomy," you can answer questions about it, ESPECIALLY for children.
— Sarcastic Cupcake (@SarcasticCupcak) August 27, 2022
They feel bad when they see actual journalism
— Mr. André (@pandrest) August 27, 2022
He’s reporting on the drama, not the actual story.
— Fair Weather Casual (@NickyD7308) August 27, 2022
It’s never what’s happening it’s that right wingers notice
— Billionaire Chimp (@ChimpWithMoney) August 27, 2022
They run interference because they know how bad this looks for the cause.
— P+ (@SpaceOperative) August 27, 2022
It gets worse:
Unreal. WaPo’s @PeteJamison reached out for comment and I responded 12 minutes later agreeing to an interview. He then published it hours later without responding to me until after publication! Now he’s saying he can update the story with my comments. That’s not how this works! pic.twitter.com/cXWBQgyWMm
— Libs of TikTok (@libsoftiktok) August 27, 2022
What an absolute hack @PeteJamison is. He even included in the story that I said I would do an interview but now he tells me he didn't see my message! You can't make this up! pic.twitter.com/vLp3wQQFif
— Libs of TikTok (@libsoftiktok) August 27, 2022
HAHAHA now they issued a "clarification" 😂. One would think if you're writing up a whole piece on someone you would monitor your messages to see if they responded to your request for comment. It wouldn't have even taken long. I responded 12 minutes later! pic.twitter.com/Eqd17LMXEm
— Libs of TikTok (@libsoftiktok) August 27, 2022
"Taylor Lorenz contributed to this report." Of course… now it all makes sense pic.twitter.com/l1NlCOFfq8
— Libs of TikTok (@libsoftiktok) August 27, 2022
Gotta get that propaganda out there. No time to waste.
— James G. (@CryptoJamesG) August 27, 2022
How convenient. And what outstanding journalistic integrity.
— David Wells (@called2serve249) August 27, 2022
Yeah he missed your message. What a horrible excuse. Sorry I didn’t bother to check the platform in which I contacted the person responsible for the original content and published a bad take ahem I mean article anyways. We can speak now though since my base has already read it.
— ReDoC (@DevVvoC) August 27, 2022
Typical. People like that aren't interested in the truth.
— Robert Pardee (@Party2Win) August 27, 2022
So, again, the press doesn’t step in until it has a “Republicans pounce” angle. Right-wing activists have caused a torrent of threats to a children’s hospital. There’s apparently no story in the hospital telling Libs of TikTok it did surgery on 16-year-old and “younger.”
