As Twitchy reported earlier, Donald Trump said he pleaded the Fifth in his deposition with the New York State Attorney General’s Office Wednesday. Someone had to come along with the bad legal take, and in this case, it was former lead Trump impeachment counsel and federal prosecutor Daniel Goldman who stepped up to say that “you don’t take the Fifth if you didn’t do anything wrong.”

Why wouldn’t Trump want to talk to Attorney General Letitia James? Why would he disparage her? Eric Trump gave a suggestion by posting this ad showing James campaigning relentlessly on putting Trump in jail.

And by invoking his 5th amendment right – he just told the DEMS to dig deep and hard – the end result will be that they find nothing. Donald is laughing at them for this schemere stunt.

Trump wrote that he had no choice but to plead the Fifth because the administration and various prosecutors have “lost all moral and ethical bounds of decency.”
