As we learned a couple of weeks ago, January 6 select committee member Rep. Liz Cheney’s campaign has been sending mail to Wyoming Democrats with instructions on how to switch parties to vote for her in the state’s August primary. We’ll see how many Democrats switch parties for a day just to vote for Cheney. She’s told ABC that the most important issue to voters isn’t inflation or gas prices, but protecting the nation from Donald Trump. The New York Times has a piece out this weekend talking about Cheney’s Democratic megadonors and her “crossover appeal.”
Liz Cheney's latest fans: Democratic megadonors Jeffrey Katzenberg and @reidhoffman. On her crossover appeal and what it says about the current political climate, w @maggieNYT https://t.co/9Oa90wBIV4

Dear @maggieNYT NO, this is not a thing. Sincerely, The American People.

I think it does say something about the current political climate, but whatever that is will not matter much beyond January 2023, which is the last time she will hold any elected office of note

It says she’ll lose her primary and disappear into irrelevance like Bob Corker and Jeff Flake before her.

You go girl. Thread that needle Liz.

The enemy of my enemy is my friend – temporarily.
Her newly discovered “friends” thought her father was Darth Vader and didn’t think much more of her pre-Trump.
This too shall pass.

She will get crushed

LMFAO
What's her approval rating in Wyoming? You know, the state she actually represents?
I guess she can carpetbag somewhere else when she gets annihilated in the primary.

LMAO "has refused to rule out a presidential campaign in 2024…". So have I and we've both got the same chance of winning.

Crossover appeal suggests she has a significant number of Republican supporters. Generally crossover means more fans, not a change in who your fans are.

She is toast

When your opponents love you, you're the idiot.

Of course. She's gone and nothing is going to save her.

We heard as long ago as March that “those close to” Cheney and Rep. Adam Kinzinger expect one or both of them to mount a presidential campaign in 2024.
