As Twitchy reported Wednesday, there was a story about Rep. Lauren Boebert telling a church group that “the church is supposed to direct the government” and not the other way around. “I’m tired of this separation of church and state junk — that’s not in the Constitution,” she added. That story moved Christian Rep. Adam Kinzinger to tweet that what Boebert was suggesting was no different than the Taliban. “We must oppose the Christian Taliban,” he declared.
Despite being schooled on the many differences between what Boebert was describing and the Taliban, Kinzinger has dug in, saying that “normal” Christians have to call out the Christian Taliban … plus Kinzinger “can’t find anywhere Jesus said that the government matters to him.” Really?
It’s interesting. When the Taliban rose, we kept saying the “moderate Muslims” need to speak out (im sure you did too) I believe normal Christians need to call out Christian nationalism and the Christian Taliban. I can’t find anywhere Jesus said that the Govt matters to him. https://t.co/zFY6GzPs1Y

All of us at Breitbart helped you win in 2010 when the protesters in the streets were calling YOU Christian Taliban and Nazi. Remember all the posters of you and Glenn Beck and Sarah Palin with swastikas?
You've become the very people we fought against to help you get elected. https://t.co/HjczTLytz6

An excellent case for term limits.

He's not intellectual enough to understand what Boebert was saying. Instead he smears her and other religious Christians. Why not answer her with coherent and persuasive arguments? https://t.co/zT3dAB8MwZ

Christians aren't beheading or blowing up people of other religions. To compare Christians to the Taliban is not only repulsive it sends a message to the people who are vandalizing & burning Churches that you approve.
You are a despicable human being! Karma is watching! https://t.co/q2xzKYOxBD

Feckless @RepKinzinger is trying to get Americans to refer to those who may be Christian but differ in views to be called terrorists & refer to them as the Christian Taliban. As part of his Country First PAC, he’s calling for unity we are told. Wants violence as a US congressman https://t.co/lrNrYu7M3V

Lol this guy was clearly a Democrat in RINO clothing from the start. This is indistinguishable from something Amy Siskind would tweet. https://t.co/ybwF4YHbzj

The Christian Taliban? Who are we murdering? https://t.co/E1gd33lvCs

We’re killing women by denying them abortions, supposedly.
Can someone explain to me what the Christian Taliban is?
b/c my recollection of the actual Taliban is they cut off heads of those who disagree with them. https://t.co/OfgQEHZBWd— Keilani (@KaneKeilani) June 30, 2022
Christians are nothing like the Taliban, @AdamKinzinger. It's shameful that you would analogize them while trying to dunk on someone slightly shorter than you. What exactly is a "normal Christian"?
Perhaps you issue an apology to the millions of Christians you've offended? https://t.co/bjV1B1WG17

He’s now competing with David French to see who can most defame evangelical Christians.
