Last month, White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre answered a question about the plunge in the stock market, with the Dow down well over 1,000 points at the close of trading. Jean-Pierre responded that the White House really didn’t keep an eye on the stock market:

A month later, Fox News’ Peter Doocy again asked about the stock market and President Biden’s claim that we’d be seeing the market hit record after record under his administration. Record lows, maybe. What does Biden have to say now?
DOOCY: "President Biden once bragged about the stock market 'hitting record after record after record on my watch.' How about now?"
KJP: "Meaning…?"
DOOCY: "All the gains from President Biden's time in office have been wiped out."
KJP: "We face global challenges." pic.twitter.com/66kfZpqKdn

It’s OK, though, since everyone is doing so well in this booming economy he created:
Doocy: "Biden once bragged about the stock market 'hitting record, after record, after record on my watch.' How about now?"
Jean-Pierre: "The American people are well positioned to face these challenges because of the economic historic gains that we have made under [Biden]." pic.twitter.com/sjLLE0aCQH

How do they live with themselves?

Biden inherited an economy that had rebounded from COVID thanks to a lifesaving vaccine he had nothing to do with, and within 18 months he's squandered it all. https://t.co/mSw8KqhWqX

Ha. I had like an "emergency" meeting with my financial advisor on Friday because my kids' 529 are in a death spiral. All he could say was – yeah, things are tough right now.

Is there a different America that I need to move to? Because this one sucks right now.

Follow up… So if he took credit for all the gains, will he now take responsibility for all the loss?

Y’all give him a break. No president before has ever faced global challenges.

Biden’s presidency is the global challenge
— DWray (@d_wray) June 13, 2022
Wrong, we face global-ist challenges

We face a Biden challenge.

Can an administration be more out of touch?
— Sam Barkley (@sambarkley) June 13, 2022
It’s just that frustrating problem the administration has with messaging. For some reason, they just can’t seem to make Americans understand that everything is great.
