You know how the mainstream media likes to take your out-of-the-ordinary person and make a folk hero of them? The new hotness back in 2018 was to post video of yourself sawing your AR-15 in half. ABC News featured a man who had a Second Amendment tattoo on his arm sawing his AR-15 in half “to make sure this weapon will be ever be able to take a life.” Guess he didn’t trust himself with a gun. Not long after, congressional candidate Karen Mallard posted a video of herself sawing the barrel off her AR-15 — which a lot of people noted didn’t make in non-operation and was probably illegal, so she had her husband take it to the police station to have it disposed of. Some people took the easy way out and just posted selfies of themselves turning their AR-15 into the police to have it destroyed. “No civilian should be able to own an AR or any type of weapon of war like it,” one man said, after having chosen to buy that AR-15.
Here we have Jake, who enjoyed shooting his AR-15 for years, smashing his rifle with a hammer. Again, he must not trust himself to keep it locked up, or maybe he has homicidal thoughts. Who knows?
Jake, a gun owner.. He enjoyed shooting his AR15 for years. A believer in the 2nd amendment. A believer that he nor any other civilian should own an AR15. As he listens to me read the names of the Uvalde victims on my podcast destroys his gun as instructed by his local police. pic.twitter.com/bEtWonRuVC

Was he concerned that he would commit a mass shooting? If not, this did nothing.

He paid for it and he’s free to do with it as he chooses. That’s the beauty of free will.

If he owned one for years, he should know there's nothing particularly special about an AR-15.

Yeah, wouldn’t they just advise him to turn it in?
