It was about a month ago, before her hit piece on Libs of TikTok, that the Washington Post’s Taylor Lorenz sat down for an interview in which she discussed the “severe PTSD” she suffers from mean tweets. It was one of those moments where she teared up in front of the cameras, but at other times, she seems to shake off “harassment” pretty easily.
Oliver Darcy wrote in Monday night’s “Reliable Sources” newsletter that Lorenz had walked back her claim that she had been “relentlessly” harassed by a Drudge Report editor “who had threatened to use the site to destroy her career” — so of what she does with her platform.
—@DRUDGE himself contacted @TaylorLorenz to ask for a correction after she said in tweets that a Drudge editor had harassed her. Drudge told me no one "associated with the DRUDGE REPORT" had contacted her prior. Lorenz says her tweets were mostly a joke. https://t.co/At1XFWIdDb pic.twitter.com/XZsOgHQDIX

“Relentless” harassment of a female journalist is hardly hilarious. Darcy writes:
Lorenz told me that her initial tweets were a “joke” and that she found the idea someone could harm her career via the Drudge Report “hilarious.” Lorenz said she was “laughing very hard about the idea” and was simply joking about it online. “I am happy to correct the record that I have no drama with Drudge Report,” Lorenz told me.
The Washington Post, which seems to be making a habit of issuing statements on Lonenz, said that “as soon as she learned the person had no connection to the Drudge Report, she deleted the original tweet and wrote a tweet apologizing for her comment.”

So it was a joke or it happened? How can it be both?

Once you realize she has dark triad personality issues, everything she does and says makes sense.

The fact that this person is still employed as a "journalist" speaks volumes about the state of the profession.

Her response is consistent with her ability to properly vet any story she reports on. So there's that.

We must be glad to have an employer always ready with a statement to “clarify” her output.
Why would any newsroom w/ a legal dept ever employ this lunatic https://t.co/SQCJO7YsSl
