This isn’t one of those local news stories like Kermit Gosnell’s abortion clinic; the New York Times is making sure this story goes nationwide. A man who was found guilty of defacing an LGBTQ mural in South Florida has been ordered to write a 25-page essay about the 2016 mass shooting at the Pulse Nightclub that killed 49 people.
A man who admitted to defacing an LGBTQ mural in South Florida has been ordered by a judge to write a 25-page essay about the shooting at the Pulse gay nightclub, where a gunman killed 49 people in 2016. https://t.co/IZJIcNm0wn

If this guy has to come up with 25 pages worth of material, he’s eventually going to get to the part where the mass shooter, Omar Mateen, was an Islamic extremist who didn’t even know that it was a gay nightclub.
It was just last year that President Biden named the Pulse Nightclub a national memorial. “We must drive out hate and inequities that contribute to the epidemic of violence and murder against transgender women — especially transgender women of color,” Biden said.
As Twitchy reported, “Star Trek: Discovery” actor Wilson Cruz used the passage of Florida’s Parental Rights in Education bill to fundraise for the Pulse Foundation and suggested that Florida has learned nothing about how to prevent another Pulse shooting. If we don’t teach kindergarteners about gender identity, they’re certain to grow up to become mass shooters, right?
The Pulse shooting was not a homophobic hate crime it was an ISIS supporter who hated America and had several other potential targets. He explicitly stated his motive! You people are despicable. Despicable fearmongering liars.

Huh? What did the Pulse nightclub shooting have to do with homophobia?
— Mark Delbridge (@DelbridgeMark1) April 26, 2022
Isn't it known that the club was not targeted for its association with LGBT?
— Kyler (@kwlibertas) April 26, 2022
That’s actually an interesting assignment because he’ll have to do a deep dive into some particular aspect in order to get 25 pages.

The fact that it wasn’t targeted because of the sexual leanings of its clientele (despite media framing) should make for an interesting angle.

Why would they want him to right an essay on Islamist extremism?
— Conrad (@Conrguy) April 26, 2022
You mean the shooting that had NOTHING to do with anti gay motives and was just a convenient place to shoot up? That one???
— Niftyleo67 (@niftyleo67) April 26, 2022
The pulse shooting was done by a Muslim so there's that….
— The Real Nino (@TheRealNinod) April 26, 2022
Who didn’t know that Pulse was a gay nightclub.
— BG What’s his Name (@BGwhatsaname) April 26, 2022
Islamic terror
— Jason Ross (@rodrjr46) April 26, 2022
That's odd, since the Pulse shooting had nothing to do with LGBT
— Mike Moss (@_MikeMoss) April 26, 2022
Why is he writing an article on a radical Islamic terror attack?
— Prince of Orange🇺🇸 (@primofederalist) April 26, 2022
I hope most of it is a meditation on how and why the FBI allowed it to happen.
— Lawrence Scott Davis (@LarryScottDavis) April 26, 2022
We guess the judge just wants to drum up some Islamophobia.
