Yeah, sorry, but we’re still dragging the Washington Post’s Taylor Lorenz for her hit piece on the woman behind Libs of Tik Tok. As we reported earlier, Ben Shapiro did a great job showing the “journalisming” that Lorenz did for the piece, such as accusing the woman of using “QAnon-related language,” because she shared the story of a sting operation that nabbed almost 200 child predators. You see, if you even mention pedophilia regardless of context, you’re using QAnon-related language.
As Twitchy reported yesterday, Babylon Bee CEO Seth Dillon tweeted that the woman behind Libs of Tik Tok doesn’t have to worry about losing her job, because he made a deal with her to make what she’s already doing a full-time job. The deal was in the works before Lorenz’s story was published, but this seemed like a good time to announce it.
We’re not journalists like Taylor Lorenz, so she saw Dillon’s tweet and says she heard that The Babylon Bee had provided her financial backing. She couldn’t confirm the details though, so instead of writing it up for the Washington Post, she just tweeted it.
I had heard that Babylon Bee had recently provided financial backing for @libsoftiktok but didn’t have enough confirmation on the details to nail it down for my story.

Really seems like you’re grinding a partisan axe while pretending it’s objective journalism.
Also, Seth Dillon funding something isn’t the same as the Babylon Bee funding something. A real journalist would know that.

Dillion confirmed that himself.
The Babylon Bee didn't do a deal with her. The Bee is a satire publication. You know, like the Washington Post. I did a deal with her personally.
Also, I want to thank you for amplifying the voices you try to suppress. Your promotion of @libsoftiktok today has been priceless. https://t.co/rhTABnWXii

She doesn’t do anything but lie. It’s truly amazing.

Can't wait to see the defiant L's that come from this.

No evidence but going to make the claim anyway. Such integrity

@TaylorLorenz is probably the best thing to happen that is amplifying that account. Love it

Thought she had a scoop 😂😂😂😂😂😂

“I have heard … but I didn’t have enough confirmation on the details … but now I’ve confirmed it but got the details wrong.”
