MSNBC's Mehdi Hasan says President Biden needs to cancel student debt ASAP because elections are coming

President Biden had been in office only 10 days when he got lit up on Twitter over a tweet from the DNC saying that Biden would “build on the $600 down payment provided by Congress last year, sending an additional $1,400 to households across America.” That did not fly with Biden voters who clearly heard him say that if Jon Ossoff and Raphael Warnock won their Senate races, $2,000 checks would go “out the door.” A month later, Biden ignored Fox News’ Peter Doocy when asked about those checks and if they were still on their way out the door.

It might seem like Biden is a hit with young adults, but he hasn’t made good on his promise to cancel student debt, and MSNBC’s Mehdi Hasan says Biden had better cancel it ASAP judging from his latest approval numbers with young people.

That’s putting it pretty plainly. Cancel student debt to win the 2022 elections.
