Jussie Smollett was late arriving at his sentencing hearing Thursday, but that didn’t mean that Judge James Linn was going to rush. Linn took his good sweet time lecturing Smollett, who chose not to testify on his own behalf. The judge sentenced Smollett to 150 days in jail for faking a hate crime, but not without roasting him first:
The judge sentencing hate crime HOAXER Jussie Smollett is absolutely FLAMING him right now. 🔥🔥🔥

Smollett’s also been hit with a $25,000 fine and will pay restitution to the police.
Matt Finn has been covering the hearing for Fox News:
Jussie Smollett’s 92 yo grandma just looked at the media from the bench and said they’re not doing a good job doing investigating reporting. She knows because she does documentaries and lived through the McCarthy era

Linn says that Smollett lied to the first responding CPD officer and "you haven't stopped lying ever since. You've been lying and lying and lying about this case and that's why you're here today."

Judge to Smollett: you have been lying, lying about this case and that's why you're here today … you caused a major investigation … that caused great stress

CHICAGO (AP) — Judge to Jussie Smollett: "You're just a charlatan pretending to be a victim of a hate crime, and that's shameful."

Judge: you repeated your lies at the hospital, from my vantage point, I thought the jury's verdict was accurate. Correct. Overwhelming evidence of guilt against you.
— Matt Finn (@MattFinnFNC) March 11, 2022
Judge to Smollett: your very name now has become an adverb for lying … pulling a Jussie…I can't imagine anything worse than that.

Smollett, who if you ask us got off pretty easy, made quite a fuss.
Jussie Smollett bursts out after his sentence is read saying repeatedly "I am not suicidal" and "I am innocent."
— Spencer Brown (@itsSpencerBrown) March 11, 2022
Breaking: Smollett reacting in court right now. "I DID NOT DO THIS. I'm not suicidal. If anything happens to me when I go in there, you must all know that. Jail time, I am not suicidal."
— Matt Finn (@MattFinnFNC) March 11, 2022
Smollett is now insisting that he is innocent and that he is not suicidal.
He's making a scene.

Smollett wants people to know that if he dies in prison he is not suicidal and did not do it to himself.

Uhhh- so did Jussie just announce that he’s going to kill himself in jail and blame it on somebody else? Stop hoaxin’, Jussie. Get the hell outta here. #JussieSmollet #jussie

Jussie’s outbursts of “I AM NOT SUICIDAL” is the funniest thing I’ve ever seen.

Jussie Smollett is a terrible actor. His name is now synonymous with telling lies. Here he is, claiming he is not suicidal. pic.twitter.com/ADtrup8ood

Smollett’s going straight to jail from the courthouse.
