In case you missed it, this is the tweet that got “Harry Potter” author J.K. Rowling canceled:
Dress however you please.
Call yourself whatever you like.
Sleep with any consenting adult who’ll have you.
Live your best life in peace and security.
But force women out of their jobs for stating that sex is real? #IStandWithMaya #ThisIsNotADrill— J.K. Rowling (@jk_rowling) December 19, 2019
That #IStandWithMaya hashtag is what got Rowling into trouble with the woke mob — Maya is Maya Forstater, a British woman who was fired from her job for tweets deemed anti-trans, and by anti-trans, we mean like this: “There are two sexes, male and female. Men and boys are male. Women and girls are female.” That’s what she was fired over.
“Star Wars” actor Mark Hamill liked the tweet but then apologized, saying he didn’t understand the hashtag or its “transphobic connotation.”
On Tuesday, Rowling responded to a video by Anneliese Dodds of the Labour Party marking International Women’s Day.
Labour will lift women up, not hold them back.
Because we are the party of equality. #IWD2022 pic.twitter.com/O7tudNsAOD

This morning you told the British public you literally can't define what a woman is. What's the plan, lift up random objects until you find one that rattles? https://t.co/QoBPt5HpKf

Nice.
You really want your legacy to die on this hill, @jk_rowling ?
— Wanda Maximoff (@walruslives40) March 8, 2022
Yes, sweetheart. I'm staying right here on this hill, defending the right of women and girls to talk about themselves, their bodies and their lives in any way they damn well please. You worry about your legacy, I'll worry about mine 😉 https://t.co/wLekwpMQEe

They are many of us on this hill and each day we grow in number and trust me J.Ks legacy is only getting stronger.

We’re gonna need a bigger hill!

Nothing but respect from me – JK has done a great job fighting for women's rights.
She comes across as a warm, kind person as well as a gifted writer.

Her amazing legacy will not die because of her genuine care for women and girls' rights. This is a part of her legacy.

I am just one man who had never read a word of her fiction, or seen any production based on it. Her courage in defending her half of the human race against the outrageous incursions of mine has set me on this hill beside her. It is a good place to be. Her legacy is safe.

Standing up for women is a fine legacy.
— Monices Pieces (@Monices_Pieces) March 8, 2022
I, as a woman, am very grateful that she calls out everyone who is not even able to define what a woman is these days.
And that she advocates for safe spaces for women and girls.

Luckily, reality is a pretty defensible hill.

Stopping the erasure of women is a mighty fine hill to die on…

@jk_rowling’s legacy is safe and will live on. We stand by her side and will, now and forever more, be grateful to her for defending our rights.
