We’re running with this even though we have no idea of the context, other than it came up at the National Prayer Breakfast, because Joe Biden’s anecdotes involving African Americans are always good for a chuckle, like his run-in with bad dude Corn Pop, or how black children at the pool liked to rub the hair on his legs.
We’re not sure if he’s talking about busing here, but it would be interesting if he were, because we all remember the time his current vice president, Kamala Harris, stuck a knife in his back over working with segregationists during one of the Democratic primary debates.
Anyway …
Joe Biden recalls going to Catholic school and seeing black children.
I said, "'Mom why are all those kids — it was then called colored — Why are all those colored kids in that bus?' Because in Scranton, there wasn't any, there were very few blacks."

Here’s video which adds “context”; i.e., a lot of rambling going nowhere.
Bless his heart

The funniest part of this awkward story is that it most likely never happened. When Biden tells tales from his past they’re seldom true.

Chance of this being true – 0%

Does anyone believe that story that Joe just made up?
— Carlotta. 🇺🇸 (@carlotta429) February 3, 2022
“It’s not a lie if you believe it.”
You can never trust that Biden is actually having a real memory when he wanders off on these tangents. (Remember the 18-wheeler truck and the civil rights arrest and the synagogue he never actually visited.) Having a false memory might be his best defense in this particular case. https://t.co/jr9j39iwhX

My heart swells knowing these poetic words will be preserved forever. Such a statesman.

I mean isn't it good he recalls something? You might get the impression he can't recall what he said in the previous sentence
— NotRealProfessor (@notrealprofesor) February 3, 2022
Did he tell them they weren't black?

Was Corn Pop on the bus???

And from that moment he KNEW he would fight for segregation in schools. pic.twitter.com/7ATCXURYih

What was his point? Other than to keep the term alive?

Just like when he said he saw 2 men kissing and his dad said, “Hey Joey, love is love”.

This is so embarrassing. What made him say such a degrading thing?

Nothing beats a stupid Biden anecdote.
— Invisible Constituent (@JustGreggo) February 3, 2022
Every time Biden brings up race it’s just pure cringe.
