MSNBC’s Joy Reid is the absolute worst, but the network has a real talent for tracking down conspiracy theorists and putting them on panels such as Nicole Wallace’s, as Wallace just nods along without ever once pushing back on a crackpot theory. Former senator Claire McCaskill on Monday told Wallace what’s going to happen next in red states: they’re going to pass laws allowing vigilantes to round up “people that look like foreigners.”
Former politician @clairecmc: “Vigilanteism is going to catch on. What is going to happen next, Red States are going to do vigilanteism laws on immigration. And they're going empower citizens to go out, and round up people that look like foreigners. That’s what we're coming to" pic.twitter.com/PyWgO91SOg

Vigilantism wouldn’t be “catching on” if our elected officials actually believed in the rule of law.

wow what a based idea
— Jeb Emerson (LocJEB) (@Locjeb) December 13, 2021
Claire, is that what happens when there’s lawlessness? Think I saw this in a Western once or twice
— Alvaroidz (@Alvaroidz) December 13, 2021
So she is saying… that is a bad idea?
— Blad (@Honeybladger) December 13, 2021
That’s great can’t wait
— Howard Williams (@Howardindixie) December 13, 2021
I don't see the problem.
— Phil Shenton (@PhilShenton1812) December 13, 2021
I’ve got an idea, Claire, why don’t we try having a border and why don’t we try enforcing it? Sounds odd to be like every other country in the world but maybe that would work and stop “vigilantism”
— Conservative Persuasion (@Conserv73181081) December 13, 2021
And in the meantime, Democrats campaign on abolishing ICE.
