As Twitchy reported earlier, the fine folks at the Lincoln Project thought it was racist of Sen. John Kennedy to ask President Joe Biden’s nominee for Comptroller of the Currency if he should address her as “professor” or “comrade.” Now the Washington Post is weighing in with its analysis, saying Kennedy is running “the same old red scare” tactics against the nominee.
A different John Kennedy but the same old red scare https://t.co/rz12NYV8uA

“… leverages his party’s resuscitated rhetoric about communism to attack a Biden nominee.” Well, she’s a horrible nominee. And no one would be talking about communism if Saule Omarova, according to the Wall Street Journal, didn’t believe “that U.S. banking should be remade in the Gosbank’s image,” 30 years after having graduated from Moscow State University in 1989 on the Lenin Personal Academic Scholarship.
And that’s not all: She’s proposed that there be no more private bank deposit accounts and all of the deposit accounts will be held directly at the fed. And she wants to see the oil, gas, and coal industries go bankrupt.
Switch flipped: now being a Russian asset is a good thing.

The newspaper that spent 5 years accusing President Trump and Republicans of being super secret Russians now are aghast…
— Ari Fantis (@rprez2012) November 18, 2021
You morons spent 4 years telling us Trump was Putin’s puppet.
— WayKoolJr (@MillerLatte) November 18, 2021
The media spent four years saying Trump was Putin's KGB agent
But you can't call someone who went to Moscow State University on the Lenin Scholarship and wrote about Karl Marx "comrade" https://t.co/ktuvcGRmsu

That’s WaPo’s Dana Milbank, by the way.
She literally studied at Moscow State University in then Soviet Russia under a Lenin Scholarship. She's talked about s radical takeover of the banking system and a government takeover of private banks. Asking questions is not a red scare

She went to Moscow university…. On the Lenin scholarship…. Wrote about Marx…. AND wants the central government to take over banking and bankrupt coal and oil/NG companies to take them over. pic.twitter.com/3Ymq8aDtVK

Neither Kennedy was wrong.

Nothing to see here. Just a “red scare.” Please go about your business. https://t.co/NfHDbwqSLm pic.twitter.com/MplY4gQdoj

I can’t believe people are defending the communist that Biden nominated for Comptroller. She’s said, this year, that she wants the government to destroy oil, gas and other industries and replace all private banking with a national, federal bank to monitor transactions. https://t.co/ETv3AqermK

According to WaPo "reporting"
✅Attended Moscow State University
✅Lenin Scholarship Recipient
✅Wrote thesis about Karl Marx
❌Can be called "Comrade"— Usually Right (@normouspenis) November 18, 2021
Noting that she won't let anybody see her thesis on Karl Marx, suggesting she wasn't a critic.

Well, if the shoe fits…

Let’s save you some words, in this opinion article that tries to blur lines where they are clear as can be: Omarova is an actual communist. Period.
— Boo (@heyok99) November 18, 2021
The Post certainly felt they had to publish something quickly — looks like Kennedy touched a nerve.
