Journalist says having to buy 12 gallons of milk a week 'means you have an issue with contraception'

Wow, the blue-checks are having a field day with that CNN interview with a woman who was explaining the effect of inflation on her family: “When you buy 12 gallons a week times four weeks, that’s a lot of money,” she said. Jonathan Chait jumped right in with a gag about the family having to cut back on milk baths, and the New York Times Wordplay account deleted a tweet saying, “sorry, i can’t do today’s crossword. i’m too busy carrying my 12 gallons of milk home.”

Now we have the sports editor of the Orlando Sentinel saying that having to buy 12 gallons of milk a week means you have a problem with contraception, not inflation.

Even CNN’s Brianna Keilar jumped in to inform those who hadn’t watched the segment that the couple has two biological children, has adopted five, and is fostering one. So yeah, contraception is their problem, not inflation.
