'White people, you are the problem': Here's what AT&T has been teaching its employees

We often wonder — are these “Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion” training sessions exclusively for white employees? We’ve seen that case before, and since white people are the problem, it would seem silly to make people of color sit through these struggle sessions.

Christopher Rufo has promised at least 10 looks into corporations’ diversity training initiatives, and now AT&T is up to bat, with leaked documents showing just what’s being taught to AT&T employees in its “Listen. Understand. Act.” initiative.

Under the “Understand” header, employees are taught subjects like, “Being Uncomfortable,” “White Fragility,” and “Systemic Racism Is Real,” while under the “Act” banner are told about the “21-Day Racial Equity Habit Challenge” and “10 Modern Black Civil Rights Leaders to Follow.”

“American racism is a uniquely white trait. Black people cannot be racist toward you.”

“Millions of people are furloughed or unemployed, and millions more are feeling socially insecure. Protesting became an outlet, a way to feel like one could have an impact.” So when we see protesters and ask, “Don’t they have jobs?” the answer is no, they don’t.
