We don’t have the whole clip from “CBS This Morning,” so we’re not sure if Vice President Kamala Harris explained exactly what it is we are talking about when it comes to gun control after the mass shooting in Boulder.
We do know a couple of things, though. We know presidential candidate Beto O’Rourke said, “Hell yes, we’re gonna take your AR-15” during a presidential debate and then made campaign T-shirts with that as the slogan. We also know that candidate Joe Biden in March of 2020 campaigned with O’Rourke and basically appointed him his gun czar, saying, “You’re going to take care of the gun problem with me. You’re gonna be the one who leads this effort.”
We haven’t heard O’Rourke’s name mentioned in that capacity since Biden took office, thankfully, but it does make us wonder again: What is the Biden administration talking about?
VP Kamala Harris on CBS This Morning:
"Stop pushing the false choice that this means everybody's trying to come after your guns, that is not what we're talking about." pic.twitter.com/dQjH3w9WiY

Then what are we talking about

Then whose guns, precisely, are you coming after? Because I don't see you restricting your proposed gun laws to the non-law-abiding. https://t.co/s7Nz1C9X5F

"That's not what we're talking about."
Narrator: it's exactly what they're talking about

I have a AR-15s and they want to ban AR-15s…but they're not coming after my guns?

Every time I observe the VP talking, all I can think of is how disingenuous she is.

Shocking to me for as much of a lawyer/prosecutor as she was, she can never just present a logical argument…she uses emotion and gesturing non-stop. Such a politician.

She is so condescending.

If seizing my rifle is NOT “coming for my guns”, plain English must no longer be the official language of the US.

Their words, actions, and intentions say that they are doing exactly that.

That means they are coming after your guns.

Where’s her nervous giggle during this serious situation?

"She said with a cackle".
Context is everything.

When someone can 100% prove to me that no one will ever try to harm my family then I’ll willingly hand mine over. I don’t even own any rifles but I’d lay down my handguns if I knew that there would never be any need for them. Unfortunately, that isn’t how the world works.

On second thought, do put Beto O’Rourke in charge of gun control. That would be as effective as putting Harris in charge of the border crisis.
