ThinkProgress is no more, but Judd Legum is still out there looking out for all of us. The media lets us know that President Trump lies all the time, and the dishonesty seems to have infected the people who run his online campaign store as well.
Legum has found out that while Facebook ads say that “top supporters” have “priority access” to his campaign store’s Black Friday sale … but in reality, any old chump can go to the store right now and save 35 percent — which we wouldn’t have known if Legum hadn’t alerted us.
The Trump campaign has a bunch of Facebook ads that tell people they have special access to his Black Friday sale (35% off everything) because they are a TOP SUPPORTER
But the ad is a lie.

Do you mean that marketing material with my name on it wasn't specifically written just for me?

Bless your heart. pic.twitter.com/Hy050UamTI

How'd you get to the bottom of that Columbo? You really earned your blue check mark today.

Hard hitting journalism here, folks.
— super soaker (@jerkface71) November 25, 2019
Did you think he was tailoring ads to specific individual people or something? Are you this desperate or just incredibly stupid?
— Maybe you are the problem. (@gaywonker) November 25, 2019
Oh the horror. Budweiser is the official beer of Halloween but it’s a lie. You can drink any kind of beer.
— adam (@adambomb71) November 26, 2019
Wow-investigative journalism at its best
— Michacc (@michacc) November 25, 2019
This is not a story.
— Patrick (@PMC713) November 25, 2019
Oh dear Lord, this tweet is absurd.
You pretend as if all of marketing & advertising weren't couched in such terms.
TDS clearly causes brain damage.
— L.R. (@Digital_Pimp) November 25, 2019
Thanks!
Didn't know about the sale.
Also….have you looked at ANY advertising lately?
— CRB82 (@bliss1982) November 25, 2019
Marketing, how does it work?
— JAC (@michcusejoe5) November 26, 2019
Judd discovers marketing for the first time, and is totally taken by surprise at how it actually works.
— Gage (@gage_tenebris) November 25, 2019
Damn this totally changes my mind on MAGA. Thanks for this hard hitting expose. I'm totally voting for either commie Pocahontas or commie Bernie now.

Anxious to see you go after GAP for “Friends and Family” sale, you numpty.
— ????Lesley???? (@lesbug13) November 26, 2019
Wait, you mean that email from Best Buy telling me I had exclusive access to early Black Friday prices was a lie?
— Kevin Horodas (@khorodas) November 25, 2019
Wait’ll Judd hears about Black Friday.
— 100 Proof (@ChampionCapua) November 26, 2019
It was good of Legum to help promote Trump’s Black Friday sale. Is this his new gig?
