As Twitchy reported earlier, CNN’s Brian Stelter had a bit of a meltdown and posted a thread about how his Twitter mentions had become “unreadable” because people were joking about a 10-year-old tweet reading, “I’m at Epstein’s.” (It’s not like the mainstream media would ever comb through someone’s old tweets looking for material.)
In any case, Stelter went on for a bit and then concluded that “today’s flood of lies” meant that maybe social media platforms are broken, or maybe we’re broken.
While we report on this daily, and I know other people have it much worse, today's flood of lies reminds me that these platforms are broken beyond belief. Or maybe we're broken. And not much is being done about it. (5/5)

Speaking of lies, Dana Loesch, who was the featured villain at CNN’s premature show trial following the Parkland mass shooting, had something to say about that flood of lies on social media.
Yes @brianstelter , like when I was smeared on your program (see example https://t.co/zE9qlAzBMV ) and network without correction. Not much was done about that, either. https://t.co/YW3lApKAq9

Here’s the tweet Loesch was referring to as one example:
Parkland student survivor and activist David Hogg criticizes NRA spokesperson Dana Loesch: "She owns these congressmen. She can get them to do things. It's just she doesn't care about these children's lives" https://t.co/cfOvcjtoDq https://t.co/rOqG9HzvhF

But remember — Stelter actually admitted allowing David Hogg to lie without any pushback on his “Reliable Sources” show, even though he claimed, “There were a few times I wanted to jump in and say, ‘Let’s correct that fact.'” But, well, “There’s always that balance, how many times you’re going to interrupt.”
So we think Loesch can be forgiven for not shedding any tears over Stelter’s thread.
but dana, people are being mean to brian on twitter

Cry us a river @brianstelter. I know it's usually comfy being the one dishing crap on others but there's a universal law, son. Call it what you want; what goes around comes around, reaping & sowing, karma, hunted instead of the hunter. So stop your whining & man TF up.

There's an easy fix to Stelter's situation. He can just delete his Twitter account. Problem solved, and win-win for everyone.

Is it bad while reading his tweets, my mind does it in a high pitched whine?
