Bill Kristol is not a feminist or an AOC fan, but he's amazed how middle-aged men are obsessed with her

Look, if you ask us, we don’t really care how much Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez paid for a haircut, but that’s because we’re capitalists and we believe people should have the choice of how to spend their own money. If she’s got it, fine. We’re more concerned with her carbon footprint on that recent flight to and from Copenhagen to talk about climate change.

Scott Walker decided to subtweet Ocasio-Cortez, though, with a selfie of his $26 haircut:

Not bad, but you know, it’s like Minnesota Attorney General Keith Ellison says … it’s morally wrong that women’s haircuts cost more than men’s.

Bill Kristol didn’t say it was morally wrong, but he did see Scott Walker’s tweet and wondered why middle-aged men are so obsessed with and/or afraid of Ocasio-Cortez.

So now Walker is obsessed with Ocasio-Cortez because he tweeted a photo of his haircut? Kristol says he’s not a fan of Ocasio-Cortez, but he’s reading directly from her playbook.

Louise Mench knows what’s up:

Sorry, Scott, she’s not going to date you.

For the record, that’s the publisher of The Bulwark.

We’re pretty sure a lot more work went into Ocasio-Cortez’ hairstyling that into Walker’s cut, but whatever. Kristol might have thought he was defending her, but he’s getting a lot of flak for declaring himself not a feminist.

He’s conserving conservatism.

Maybe Kristol thought he could separate himself from the “middle-aged men” demographic by standing up for Ocasio-Cortez this one time?
