As Twitchy reported earlier, Buzzfeed — yes, Buzzfeed — published a piece savaging “young, emerging feminist media icon” Lauren Duca. The writer even noted that the students of Duca’s summer class at NYU, “The Feminist Journalist,” had sent a collective formal complaint to the heads of the NYU journalism school.
It seemed to her students that Duca had “more interest in promoting her book than teaching a group of students eager to learn.”
And speaking of promoting her book, Duca decided to take the decidedly unflattering Buzzfeed piece and use it to pimp her upcoming book, “How to Start a Revolution.”
I'm biased, but I suggest reading my book before deciding I have no substance. How to Start a Revolution comes out on Tues, 9/24. I poured my whole damn heart into this thing + I believe it has the power to get millions invested in the political process. ✌️https://t.co/U9lbMYGfcb

You get accused, by an entire class of students, of abusing that classroom to shill your book…
And your response is to shill your book? pic.twitter.com/tMQ7q8Q1lt

Lol, I love how your response to a formal complaint from your students that you were too concerned with promoting your book is to ask us to read your book.
— BearMom420 (@BMom420) September 17, 2019
Your students sounded enthused when they spoke about it.

Can see stacks of those at Ollies at clearance prices before the years up. Glad you feel proud of your work but that's just the way the market works.

You really think this is the best time and way of promoting your book? You must be really stupid or not give a fuck about what is going on.

I'll read your book, but I charge $250/hour to do so, 4 hour minimum. Let me know where to send the invoice.

This is exactly how Lauren starts her classes at NYU. It only cost like $5000 per semester.
— Frankie (@Amadeus2123) September 17, 2019
Make that $6,500, if the article is correct.
"millions invested in politics" from a teen vogue writer? LOL!! why not just claim it'll cure global warming while you're at it!
so much hubris, it's hilarious.

This pinned tweet?
As we continue to watch mind-numbing coverage of Kavanaugh's lies and abuse, here's an *unfriendly reminder* that the concept of "both sides" is a bullshit paradigm which emboldens the powerful and disenfranchises the marginalized.☠️⚡️?https://t.co/U9lbMYGfcb pic.twitter.com/kcOjEBIUM0
