As Twitchy reported earlier Monday, Bill Nye, who’s not a climatologist and not an actual scientist either, went on an R-rated tirade on climate change the same day that Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez was shaming people for claiming she said the world would end in 12 years (which she’s on video saying) if her Green New Deal didn’t become reality.
No, the world isn’t going to end in 12 years due to climate change; now watch as I set a globe on fire to show how serious climate change is.
Remember when Decoder came out of the woodwork and said conservatives were “outraged” by Bill Nye’s Netflix show when he pretended to DJ while Rachel Bloom performed “My Sex Junk” (Are my options only hard or moist?/My vagina has its own voice/Not vocal cords, a metaphorical voice)?
Now Media Matters is stepping in an accusing right-wing media of pouncing (or seizing) on Nye’s hysterical video, which was hysterical in every meaning of the word.
Right-wing media lashed out over Bill Nye’s call to action on climate change.
A Fox News chyron called it "Climate Hysteria"
A Fox host said: "If it was a real crisis, he wouldn't be joking like that"

And? Isn’t that the guy who walked to SXSW to push the Green New Deal with Ocasio-Cortez? (He certainly didn’t fly.)
You can say pounced.

Pssst. They didn’t lash out. They were mocking him and laughing

"Lashed out"
Media Matters providing cover for the has-been (failed) mechanical engineer from a kid's show cursing up a storm about climate mechanics that he has no actual education in.
You poor schmucks are just unentertaining parody at this point. https://t.co/XBu9cADUtR

Bill Nye the fake-science guy hyped stuff to increase hysteria in generally ignorant public.

For goodness’ sake!
This is a media personality – not a climate scientist – cursing up a blue storm over people who don’t adhere to his religion.
He’s unserious and no one has an obligation to give his BS any heed. https://t.co/KZd3cquzRJ

How much carbon was emitted making this bit, and sending it out to the world so the billions with smartphones using rare earth minerals could watch this fake scientist/crisis actor make a fool out of himself telling people to throw more $ at the issue to fix it? ?

Fake media supporting a fake scientist is just too good
— B B (@BenJack35278703) May 14, 2019
Then criticised by a fake twitter account. It’s fake all the way downnnn
— Fraser Rolfe (@rephraser) May 14, 2019
It is literally hysteria. And this is definitely not how serious people trying to convince people of a serious problem act.
So your story is that Fox reported accurately. https://t.co/tWlvebYrBP

Exactly.
