The Washington Post might not be all-in for Sen. Kamala Harris in 2020, because they seem to be doing a lot of work helping Sen. Elizabeth Warren clean the slate of her claims of being Native American. On Tuesday, the Post reported that Warren had apologized for the claim in a discussion with the chief of the Cherokee Nation.

And, oh yeah: she claimed Indian heritage on a form for the State Bar of Texas.
Shouldn't the headline on this be, "Warren Identified as 'American Indian' on State Bar Registration, New Document Shows"? https://t.co/8UjqHP2f5T
— Elizabeth Harrington (@LizWFB) February 6, 2019
One would think that someone making a false statement on an official bar form would constitute an ethical violation if committed by an attorney.

This reads like WaPo got this document, gave Pocahontas a chance to further apologize, then reframed the story

Not long ago Warren was spiking the ball after the DNA test and demanding Trump pay the million dollar bet that she wasn’t Native American. What happened? https://t.co/1j3tkqciJ7

until this week, elizabeth warren was known for denying she ever called herself a native american. now she’s apologizing for calling herself a native american. pic.twitter.com/0uhlxcbPDU

Form said her race is American Indian. No hyphen, no nothing. Her race. Family stories only equal definitive race if we’re looking for the easy way. Whatever…..

How about paying back the fortune she made for lying.
— JMN (@steelrjmn) February 6, 2019
Let's investigate what else she lied about.
— Chris Avena (@SeeMeHunt) February 6, 2019
If she hadn’t tumbled the fraud by the time she was a lawyer, she was disingenuous or culpably gullible — not good qualifications for prez

1/1024 honest.
1/1024 ethical. https://t.co/quAM9xRaK9— Phil Kerpen (@kerpen) February 6, 2019
Lying about your heritage to for personal advancement is racist. Like really racist, not racist the way most people use the word racist. This is real deal racism. It’s also actual cultural appropriation here. She stole another culture for her own gain. Have at it, progressives! https://t.co/yHQr391KVQ
— Dave Rubin (@RubinReport) February 6, 2019
I guess we get to find out just how much the left cares about real cultural appropriation and not just someone’s Halloween costume. https://t.co/qOGooAkFrz
— Stephen Miller (@redsteeze) February 6, 2019
This is the definition of cultural appropriation, and Senator Warren disputes none of the repeated examples of it cited in this piece. https://t.co/CBMMxMiDPe
— Willie Geist (@WillieGeist) February 6, 2019
From reading comments here, my takeaway is that it's okay for an elected official to LIE…but only if they're a democrat. ?
— Cee Level (@CeeHag) February 6, 2019
Seriously … commenters are really angry that the Washington Post is pulling a “But her emails!” on 2020 hopeful Warren.
Hillary’s e-mails all over again. How about focusing on @realDonaldTrump’s damage.
— rick derevan (@rderevan) February 6, 2019
This is not an important story.
— daniel waldman (@the_waldman) February 6, 2019
In the Age of Trump, you think "this" is a worthy story? What the hell is wrong with you?
— bmaz (@bmaz) February 6, 2019
Stop it! For statistical purposes- where is that in your teaser. @washingtonpost do better.
— Catahoulaloves (@CatahoulaLoves) February 6, 2019
Oh my! Warren once practiced law in Texas?!?!
— Nick (@cnkirch1215) February 6, 2019
Holy cow, this really has never been a story, has it. That is so screwed up.
— miss speech (@miss_speech) February 6, 2019
Can’t wait for the media to focus on this like they did with Clinton’s emails while ignoring Trump’s corruption.
— Vary (@VaryOppounsh) February 6, 2019
This is not news
— Indra sentoso (@AholeBarbs) February 6, 2019
Who. Cares!
Stop trying to “but her email!” Senator Warren and get to the real issues.— Christina Writes (@christinawrites) February 6, 2019
Wait though… doesn’t she have Native American heritage? Her ancestors are Native American. Whether she’s .2 vs 25 percent literally means nothing.
— Kyle Gruber (@kyle_gruber10) February 6, 2019
I think you two will win the Pulitzer for this one. Top notch investigative journalism. Next, please look into her emails. We need to know if she still uses *gasp* hotmail.
— Brendan Berger (@BrendanBerger) February 6, 2019
A waste of reportial resources.
— Climate Voter (@tmstreet) February 6, 2019
you guys are really doing this again huh? taking an issue that is AT MOST a 3/10 and you are just going to keep pounding that rock until election day even if it takes us right over the cliffs edge. She said it was wrong, she apologized. What a waste of everyones time.
— Rob Federici (@BigRobFed) February 6, 2019
Damn y’all will beat this dead horse like Hill’s emails.
— ree lee (@lgw3rd) February 6, 2019
Guess this is where Republicans pounce.
Never forget, she thought this was a good idea https://t.co/D4P92Y0cwx
