This New York Times opinion piece calls Cuba 'beloved and admired' and 'respected for its pluck'

This piece was published Sunday in the New York Times’ Sunday Review magazine, and Daily Wire writer Kassy Dillion couldn’t quite believe what she was reading — even for the New York Times, this is really over-the-top. The piece is entitled, “Cuba’s Next Transformation.”

It’s not just that Cuba is respected for standing up to “the American behemoth”: “Cuba is also beloved and admired for its international medical assistance program, for its prowess in music and dance, in art and athletics.”

Yeah, didn’t President Obama attend a baseball game there and do the wave with Raul Castro? The players probably would have preferred to defect to the United States if given the chance, but Obama was just visiting and soaking up the culture.

Yes, it’s filed under Opinion, but come on, New York Times, you don’t have to publish everything submitted to you.
