We don’t have Cecile Richards to kick around anymore (actually we do), because now Dr. Leana Wen is president of Planned Parenthood, and it’s her job now to convince the taxpaying public that abortion is just basic healthcare, like getting a flu shot or cancer screening.
In fact, Wen is making her mark by showing how, logically, abortion is a human right:
From here on out, we want to be clear: Planned Parenthood services, from birth control to cancer screenings and abortion, are standard medical care. Reproductive healthcare is healthcare. Women’s healthcare is healthcare. And healthcare is a basic human right. #ThisIsHealthcare
— Leana Wen, M.D. (@DrLeanaWen) December 16, 2018
Heck, take abortion out of the picture completely: how is health care a human right?
Why is healthcare a human right?
— Matt Miller (@Matt439miller) December 17, 2018
I don't think you know what "right" means.
— Michael Autery (@MichaelAutery) December 18, 2018
Genuine question. How do you debate that healthcare as a basic human right when it is a cost and is regulated?
Basic human rights are those not requiring money and not regulated. Such as freedom, life, the ability to pursue opportunities and happiness.

The right to life is a basic human right.

No, healthcare is a service. No one is entitled to your labor without due compensation and consent. You do not work for free, do you doctor?

We hear the top gig at Planned Parenthood pays pretty well.
Reducing stress is standard medical care. Having stress outlets is standard medical care. Driving a very fast car to work my stress out is healthcare. Having a Bugatti is a basic human right. https://t.co/iOr5VYN7wj

Life of child: not a basic right
Access to contraception (including the cases when it’s not medically necessary): a basic rightMight want to rethink those priorities

I only have one question & it should be simple to answer yes or no: Is the right to life a basic human right?
— Del Traffanstedt (@Traffanstedtd) December 17, 2018
The murder of an innocent child is not healthcare. I have worked in healthcare for 23 years and it's an embarrassment for colleagues or otherwise to coerce people into believing it is.
— Spencer Burkhart (@strandedinTN) December 17, 2018
Abortion is not standard healthcare. It’s an elective procedure that stops a healthy, normal biological process and ends a human life. Ending life is never healthcare.
— Chris Edwards (@Chris5piece) December 18, 2018
Abortion is standard medical care? Really?
— Steven Brumbach (@S_Brummy) December 17, 2018
Repeating a lie a thousand times does not make it true.
Abortion will never be healthcare. Killing a human life is the antithesis of care.
History will look back on the atrocities committed behind the walls of your clinics and wonder, how did we allow so much bloodshed? https://t.co/m742niJBP9

Health care is meant to save life, not take it. Abortion is not health care. Stop with this nonsense. https://t.co/9QQCccfreh

Abortion – snuffing out a life – is considered "reproductive healthcare?" What a strange argument for a medical doctor who took the Hippocratic Oath to make. https://t.co/GFIojdaKVy

Can someone, literally anyone, explain to me what about abortion constitutes it as "healthcare"? Outside of pregnancy related complications that may be life threatening to the mother, who are you "caring for" by aborting a fetus? Is pregnancy a disease? Seriously someone explain https://t.co/54jxKpvWrM

You can continue your heinous organization, we just don't want it tax payer subsidized. Tax payers should not be footing the bill for anything this organization does. Especially when you donate $30 million in kickbacks to the Democrats.

Well, at least we know what Planned Parenthood’s talking point will be for the time being.
