Online Jewish magazine Forward acknowledges that there has been a string of attacks against Jews in Brooklyn, but are those attacks really about anti-Semitism? Our guess would be yes, but apparently, we’re wrong.
Jews are getting attacked in Brooklyn and the Forward is ready to explain to us why it isn't anti-semitic: "while the attacks are targeting Jews, it may be because black people identify Judaism as a form of almost hyper-whiteness'"https://t.co/NBEhaMTlGQ

“Jews are being targeted, say residents of these communities, by members of non-white ethnic groups who see Jews as symbols of gentrification in their neighborhoods,” writes Ari Feldman. But it’s a community organizer who claims that Jews are seen as “hyper-white”:
And while the attacks are targeting Jews, it may be because black people identify Judaism as “a form of almost hyper-whiteness,” according to Mark Winston Griffith, executive director of the Black Movement Center, a not-for-profit group that promotes communal organizing in the black community in Crown Heights.
In that regard, Griffith said, the attacks may be an extension of animosity toward white people in general, who drive gentrification in Brooklyn. He added that the attacks are not on the radar of people involved in social justice initiatives in Crown Heights.
So, non-white community members are angry about gentrification, which was brought about by whites, and Jews are seen as hyper-white, so that’s why they’re being targeted. Oh, and Trump.

“To the extent that people hear about it, they are probably thinking about it in the national context of anti-Semitic acts, and the larger landscape of hatred that is being painted by Donald Trump,” he said.
Maybe it’s just us, but that still sounds like anti-Semitism to us.
Challenge anyone to explain why exactly Jews are "hyper-white" and not sound super anti-Semitic https://t.co/sMwgOk0QbI

Judaism as a form of "hyper-whiteness". LOL. That's the most creative way I've yet seen to avoid looking in the mirror.

“almost hyper-whiteness”
So, whiteness?

This is ridiculous… ?♂️

It makes sense if you don't think about it.

This is such offensive garbage. Not only does it excuse antisemitism, but it is also a perfect illustration of the bigotry of low expectations when it comes to African Americans. https://t.co/bMtltPCY8o

I really love the explanation that this isn't standard antisemitism because the people committing the attacks are blaming Jews for unrelated things happening to them and their neighborhood. That describes almost every instance of antisemitism in history.
— (((AG))) (@AG_Conservative) December 5, 2018
This is why intersectionality is such a garbage philosophy. Jews aren't real victims of bigotry because people above them in the intersectional hierarchy can't possibly be bigoted or at least their bigotry must be justified.
— (((AG))) (@AG_Conservative) December 5, 2018
The Left, struggling to keep its intersectional fragments lined up properly against the true evil.
— John J. Brennan III (@BrennansLaw) December 5, 2018
People in the inner cities are well aware of Farrakhan's message. A lot of young black men flirt with it at some point. NOI still walk the streets preaching their hate. They get an intersectional pass.

The hyper-woke @jdforward tried so hard to blame anti-Semitism on Jews that it managed to be blatantly racist toward black people. Nicely done @Jane_Eisner & @joshnathankazis https://t.co/NpoqrksxVu

So, not anti-semitic just…
*checks notes*
…super racist.
— Senator Tim Allen (@senator_tim) December 5, 2018
No, no, no. They're just REALLY white, so it's ok.
— Jesse Kelly's got nukes (@Kurvballs5) December 5, 2018
Wait..huh? So if a black person attacks a Jew because hes Jewish, its NOT anti-Semitism? I thought that attacking a Jew because hes Jewish is anti-Semitism no matter the race of the attacker.
— Pryboy (@pryboy) December 5, 2018
They’re not anti-Semitic because the are actually being racist. Gotta love that lib logic.
— Tim (@tim81boslice) December 5, 2018
This is like a racist turducken
— Cult Classic, Not Best-Seller (⊙_☉) (@DanielJeyn) December 5, 2018
What? No. It's racist against Jews. Maybe they identify Judaism with rich…but it's the left that has demonized the "rich" and continues to preach that there is "finite pie" that somehow they are poor because others are wealthy. That's the REAL BS. #nofinitePie
— Kim Brittain (@Billybeeswife) December 5, 2018
Also, saying "it's not anti-Semitism, it's anti-gentrification" is drawing a false distinction. This is a classic kind of anti-Semitism, one based on a perception of economic inequality.

Wondering if Mark Winston Griffith will be called out for insulting the intelligence of black people with this nonsense? https://t.co/3GCdCj0jqu
— Jeryl Bier (@JerylBier) December 5, 2018
And how the heck is "animosity toward white people in general, who drive gentrification in Brooklyn" not a racist attitude?

When hyper-wokeness goes around all the way into pure antisemitism.
— Modiglian (@modi_glian) December 5, 2018
The Forward does more damage to the Jewish people than Daily Stormer. The Forward is a mainstream publication that normalizes anti-semitism through the guise of woke politics.

Are they hiring? Marc Lamont Hill might like to replace his income from that CNN gig.
