First off, we don’t usually plug GoFundMe campaigns or things like that on here, but check down below for @AG_Conservative’s Patreon account; he does good work, and here’s an example from Saturday.
BREAKING: 1 article was WaPo on Georgetown Prep, which falsely suggested that they were hiring an alumni director to deal w bad publicity from Kavanaugh story.
I've now obtained the email exchange between the WaPo reporter and the school, which makes the story look even worse. https://t.co/Q554cS5JmN
— (((AG))) (@AG_Conservative) October 20, 2018
As you can see from the email exchange below, a representative for the school responded to the Washington Post reporter, Emily Heil, 8 minutes after she first contacted the school. He clearly told her the position was posted in July.
WaPo chose to run with their story anyways. pic.twitter.com/eH3dNnjKdl

So in short, reporter Emily Heil emailed Brett Kavanaugh’s high school, Georgetown Prep, for “a fun little item” about the school’s advertisement for a director of alumni relations. The school wrote back within minutes saying the job had been posted in July. No story, then, right?
The response undermined the whole story that the Washington Post was creating, but they published it anyways. It wasn't until the Georgetown Prep representative called them out that night that they put the correction we now see on the story. https://t.co/9qyiALQX9W

jesus christ @emilyaheil, you guys at WaPo have lost any shred of credibility since reporting on Kavanaugh. what a disgrace https://t.co/HLl4d5XOvu

Reporter Emily Heil did chime in Saturday with an explanation:
This was a completely unintentional error-I read right over the date in haste. Story was corrected and correction is noted. Have a great weekend, all!
— Emily Heil (@emilyaheil) October 20, 2018
-I would have written the item no matter the date the job was posted
-I really did miss the response about the date-I KNOW I shouldn’t have, but that’s what mistakes are
-I don’t mean to sound blasé about a correction. Believe me, I hate themhave kicked myself plenty over it— Emily Heil (@emilyaheil) October 20, 2018
I understand. My personal take is:
1) The story doesn't make sense given the date of the posting.
2) Unfortunate error. Mistakes happen & not trying to dwell, but should have been caught. I would hope that some safeguards are put in place to make sure it gets caught next time.

You are still being dishonest. Here’s proof.
(1/2)– You never replied to Prep and they had to push again the next day for correction.
– You ignored that too and Prep had to contact masthead editors.
Here's the emails on that: pic.twitter.com/YhNhECVjZA— Jim McCarthy (@JMacNYC) October 20, 2018
(2/2)
– Meantime, you attempted to stealth-edit the piece, see below.
– You have expressed zero apology or contrition to Prep. pic.twitter.com/j9zXLDrSLe— Jim McCarthy (@JMacNYC) October 20, 2018
Facts first? No, wait, that’s CNN’s new slogan.
Why should a reporter focus on minor details like dates when there’s a *narrative* to get out there.
— Razor (@hale_razor) October 20, 2018
Hack.
— Democrat Strategist (@JammieWF) October 20, 2018
The date undercut the entire thrust of the story. You decided what to write and then ignored facts contrary to what you had decided to say. That's the opposite of how this whole journalism thing is supposed to work. And now you're blase about it. You're not helping yourself.

Reliable sources 🙂 …I love the way the condescension drips from your “Hi Patrick! -Fun little piece etc… “I’m planning on writing this in the next 5 minutes…. so I’ll need you to respond immediately or I go to print w/out comment. Then he responds, and you reliably ignore

Can Emily explain why she called it ‘a fun little item’
What is fun about a job posting for a PR person? This reminds me of the Nikkie Haley curtain hit piece.@NathanWurtzel— Melanie Russell (@mrussclarke) October 20, 2018
Remember, we should never impugn the motives of these totally unbiased journalists.

I’m here for the completely unintentional error ratio. pic.twitter.com/EFAWD2cB63
— Sean Agnew (@seanagnew) October 20, 2018
You did that on purpose.

You have a lack of credibility to go along with your total lack of integrity.

You’re an activist, not a journalist. Just own it. #fail

BTW, your "oops" makes you look worse not better. Most of us believe the press is biased; to prove yourself also incompetent (he answered your BIG question and you "didn't see it") is just amazing.
