As Twitchy reported earlier Monday, the New York Times came through with a bombshell scoop: As a Yale undergrad, Brett Kavanaugh was questioned by the New Haven Police Department after allegedly throwing ice on another bar patron.
As an undergrad at Yale, Brett Kavanaugh was involved in an altercation at a local bar during which he was accused of throwing ice on another patron, NYT reports.
The incident resulted in Kavanaugh and four other men being questioned by the New Haven PD. https://t.co/xm9tAU6xYw

The Free Beacon’s Brent Scher also pointed out that the co-author of the piece, a staff writer for the New York Times Magazine, had openly tweeted her opposition to Kavanaugh’s nomination the night before President Trump announced his choice.
White House Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders isn’t denying it happened, but she also found that tidbit interesting:
Democrats desperately attack Judge Kavanaugh for throwing ice during college. What motivated New York Times reporter to write this ridiculous story? Throwing ice 33 years ago, or her opinion of Judge Kavanaugh in July? https://t.co/JwiP3ELqkD
— Sarah Sanders (@PressSec) October 2, 2018
We’re sure she was totally impartial as she helped type the best hit piece against Kavanaugh that the mainstream press managed Monday.
OH MY GOD HE THREW ICE ON SOMEONE IN A COLLEGE FIGHT
I honestly can’t with this story. I just can’t. https://t.co/jESXfw6fHl— Jedediah Bila (@JedediahBila) October 2, 2018

How much ice could a justice chuck if a justice did chuck ice?

Potential Supreme Court Justice just chucks ice; but is ice chuck just? Suffice to say, justice on thin ice.

At least the thrown ice story means the chance for a "Kavanaugh on the Rocks" headline.

We desperately need Beto in the Senate even though he tried to flee the scene of an accident he caused driving drunk, but down with Brett Kavanaugh cuz he threw a glass of ice on someone in 1985 https://t.co/G8lGuDuHbH

You almost got him, guys. If the FBI can prove Kavanaugh threw ice, that should be it for him.

Brett Kavanaugh may or may not have thrown ice at someone in a bar in college. it's not abundantly clear to me what this actually shows or proves

We can’t allow anyone in the Supreme Court who was questioned by police and not charged with anything. We’re better than that.

I think media outlets are doing a disservice by reporting "Brett Kavanaugh threw ice in 1985" stories without articulating clearly how it is potentially newsworthy.

If throwing ice at a bar 30 years ago is already in BK's FBI file it should be a short week to close out his reinvestigation.
