We sure saw a lot of hot takes in the media for Independence Day, from polls proving people are ashamed to be American to arguments that the whole American Revolution was a bad idea.
This take from Thor Benson, a writer who’s been featured in The Daily Beast and Rolling Stone, was literally hot, though.

Go for it, guy. It’s your right. But we’re not sure why he dedicated his schtick to Tomi Lahren — show us on the doll where Tomi triggered you.

If you're going to go for the outrage-viral tweet… at least invest in a full-size flag.

Do I see a fence around that property? Hmmm.
PS I hope you didn't get hurt playing with matches.

Man, I'm sorry you aren't getting that attention you need. I'd offer up some dating sites or advice, but I'm sure friends have already reached out.
Hopefully you can find that someone who fulfills your attention needs so you don't have to be desperate on Twitter.

And yet, nobody threw a drink in your face.
Nobody stole your clothing.
Nobody screamed at you while you ate a meal with your family.
Nobody called you a Nazi.
Nobody told you that you support the murder of children.#HappyFourth to you as well.
PS: Nice fence!!

For what it’s worth, we didn’t see Lahren reply to this stunt; instead, she posted the story of Coast Guard member folding a flag that had been torn down from its flagpole by passerby.
Happy Independence Day! https://t.co/p17pZ2Xhoj
— Tomi Lahren (@TomiLahren) July 4, 2018
Last week, WALA-TV revealed that it was Kees Anderson, a 24-year-old U.S. Coast Guard member who works at the guard’s aviation training center in Mobile, who came across the flag while out with his friend, Nikki Thompson.
Anderson proudly wears the flag on his uniform every day, he said, and saw the encounter as another way to serve his country.
“I’m in the Coast Guard – search and rescue. That’s our jam. That’s what we do,” he said. “So…of course, it means a lot to me.”
Maybe learn how to fold a flag properly if you want to get Lahren’s attention.
